Lunch is done and Tyler and I just watched our little video clips from last night's show. And he's back to pirate Legos. We just might never make it out today, but that's fine with me! It's so sunny though, I need to crack the whip and get him moving so we can head out and enjoy a bit.

Oh, I discovered another thing I love about my new computer! I was worried that I wouldn't know how to put pictures from my camera on it, but I discovered that there's a spot to plug in my SD card from my camera, so I just pop it in and the pictures pop up! My old computer didn't have that, I had to plug the SD card into a thingy that plugged into a USB port. I'm loving this new one! Tyler asked me if I can send the video clips to his dad, so I guess I'll do that later.

OK, off to try again to head out for a bit, if I can pull Tyler out of the land of pirates!

Ian, I'm finally seeing what you mean about Facebook being a bit creepy. I haven't been on it in a while, but this morning I just received 2 email notifications that 2 people I went to high school with have asked to add me as "friends". These are 2 girls I was never friends with. I occasionally would say hi in passing to one, and the other, I never even talked to I don't think. Anybody I wanted to stay in contact with, I have stayed in contact with. And I've also reconnected with a few friends I got caught up with at our 20 year high school reunion. But these 2 girls were not even at the reunion and I haven't seen them since we graduated in 1988. I will be ignoring their requests. It might sound mean, but I have no interest in chatting with somebody I barely knew over 20 years ago.

That's one of the things I like about FaceBook. I can hit IGNORE and the request is gone. Only people I choose as friends can see my page.

What is freaky to me is that those people think I would want to let them see my pages. :

We had such a great time at the monster truck show! Well, I did....Tyler, not so much. For some reason I couldn't figure out what setting to use on my camera, so pictures came out too dark, I did video clips instead. The jet-engine "crazy-boy" recliner was there again! And they also had a jet-engine golf car too! Megasaurus was awesome, as always. He chomped up a car pretty good and then ripped it in half.

Last night was AMAZING...

We of course knew that Wilson was getting his season trophy for 2nd place, but then he one a draw for a set of race tires and the he won....

MOST IMPROVED JUNIOR DRIVER

This was him a home with the throphy and his first steering wheel (really small and cute, we kept it as a keep sake from his old kart)

This is Donald the owner of the kart shop, he is a great role model and all around nice guy. He will be spending alot of "extra" time with Willie this year since we bought the new kart from his shop

This is Sarah. She is Willie friend from the track. They have raced together for 3 years and really developed a nice relationship. It is competive but supportive. Once Sarah's dad heard we went Rotax he decided to join us, so Wilson and Sarah are the only kids from our club at there level going into Rotax. It should be a great season together.

okay, last bit about last night. There was an award created last night for a group of 4 boys (just the next level up from Willie) in cadets for driver development. The cadet class of 9-12 year olds was realy exciting to watch this year, lots of good racing. So those boys got there plaques and then there was more raffle prizes and then Wilson's award was presented. Willie thought he was getting an award for just Kid Karts, so he was happy, but not that impressed. He didn't realize until we got the car that he one the award out of all the kids 16 and under at the track. All the older boys that he thinks are so good and cool, he beat. It was very humbling for Paul and I to have him reconized for all his efforts last year. He was the only kid at the track that opted to race in both club and IKF. A few of the other boys did one IKF and then quit. Willie really did a great job last year not only coming in 2nd in his club but also 2nd in Northern CA. The boy that one 1 place in club raced one IKF race and didn't do well, so he just quit. It really shows that Willie could compete will locals at their track all around Northern CA and come in 2nd over all. Okay Big soap box I know. But I'm so proud of him and the hard work from last year. I just hope as he goes forward in his new season (with an extra 25MPH) that all will go well and safe.

The ONLY bit of curiosity is to see what the guy who contact me looks like now. He was no oil painting back in 1972, so I wonder what he looks like now.

There should be a Profile Picture with the request on the HOME page link. How does he look? Or does he just have a shadow shape or OLD picture? One of my friends put a photo from high school up as his profile photo for a while--pretty funny!

I need help and advise.

Gretchen danced Friday night till 11pm and yesterday it was all day till 5pm. See a few pics below!! We had fun!!

She was fine. During the night she started crying...sore throat ... fever...I started Tylenol and have been doing Advil.....tylenol.....every 2 .5 hours alternating them....It is now 3:19 Eastern and she is 104.5 degree fever. This kid NEVER gets sick.....She has never ever been to the doctor for a sick call....broken bones yes.....well checks yes.......scatched eyeballs yes.....but never sick......

She has a tepid cloth on her and she is drinking a lot of grapefruit juice for me.

She is not throwing up or anything....no runny nose....no cough.....just this big fever that I seem not to be able to control.......

That is a high fever Lisa. I think I would phone the doctor or whoever is on call on a Sunday.

Hi Lisa, great pics from last night....but have you talked to the doctor yet??? I would make sure I talk to him directly....quickly. I would be ready to take her to the emergency room too. If she's taking the meds and they're not bringing her temp down, then she needs more help.....emergency room.

I remember John's temp going up once and I put a call into my doctor and he called me back within 5 mins. and he told me to do the asperins and if it went up to.....some degrees, I don't remember exactly what number he said....then go to the emergency room.

Don't try to be her doctor....get professional help immediately.

Lisa, get her to the doctor and NOW!!! A fever that high can quickly turn to seizures and of course for that you take her to the doctor and quick!!!

It would be worth the emergency room to me, if the fever didn't lower within 1/2 hour 45 minutes of motrin/tyelnol.

Happy Superbowl Sunday everyone....I finally feel up to being awake.....was sick again. I went to the wound doctor appointment this week....I started with a half of a vicoden before the appointment and was in a LOT of pain from the visit. I kept taking more vicoden. I couldn't stay awake and when I did wake up I felt very sick....nauseous and dizzy....so I went back to sleep. Today I'm starting to feel like a person again and I have not had any vicoden since yesterday afternoon. The legs still hurt but it's bearable pain. Michelle I know you can relate.

The wound doctor didn't put me in the hospital...thank all goodness. They cultured both legs and will phone in an antibiotic when they get the results. I have to lie flat...no more elevating...it's not enough. I have to stay lieing down for as long as possible every day. I have a hard time doing this because of sinus and back problems....but since the legs are worse and need the attention now, I just have to let the sinus and back bother me and just suck it up. So far I have only managed two hours a day at two separate intervals....not good enough.

The doctor insists that I get the edema swelling down so that it will stop leaking so that I don't get infections. That's the key. The only way for me to do it is to lie flat. I'm going to try to lie down for the whole game while watching the superbowl later. Wish me luck.

I also have to wet a wash cloth with epson salt and lie it on my legs on top of the wounds directly and keep the cloth damp to soak out the water in the legs. We haven't started doing that yet because the legs hurt too much so far. We'll start that during the week....maybe in a day or so when they don't hurt as much anymore.

I have to do it and make it work. The alternatives are worse.

I need help and advise.

Check her throat for Tonsilitis or strep throat.

I am VERY susceptible to Tonsilitis and have had it so often now that I know when I am getting it. The quicker I go to the Doctor's to get my antibiotics the quicker I am to recover. That said it still takes me about 1 week to recover. Sore throat, trouble swallowing and a constant fever are key symptoms for me. Check for inflamed tonsils on the back of her throat.

With strep you can get many of the same symptoms except you get white blotches on the throat.

But if you think it is even close or you aren't sure - well that's what doctors are for. I can know it is tonsilitis for me but until I get the antibiotics into my system, no tylenol or motrin or anything do me any good. So it is get into the doctor as soon as possible. Everyday I delay is just one more day of feeling lousy.

Hi all - I feel so much better just venting. Today I did some some for myself, and John really was clueless to how I felt since I rarely complain to him...will have to remedy that. thanks for listening. It's nice to be able to have you all to talk to.

The dogs went to the groomer and came home with two bows a pc. So cute!

Bubba and V....I love what you started with the HS pics. You both look incredible.....hot hot hot!!! So do you Jackie and Gaylean and Jon. We're a good looking group now but back then we were all IT. John and I went looking for photos to post. We couldn't access the official HS grad pics so we got the next best ones. We also found a photo of us together at the beginning of married life. We married after only 5 months of dating so it's early in our relationship. We'll post those later after John scans them.

Keep them coming everyone. I love seeing them.
