Oh yeah, forgot to mention, Tyler's teacher told me there's something going around his class (2 kids have had it so far), which starts as a headache and then the next day is a sore throat, then the next day turns to fever and throwing up. :scared: I can't handle the throwing up part. We've only dealt with that twice. Yuck.

OH MY GOSH, I can't believe Survivor starts again in TWO WEEKS FROM THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:jumping1::jumping1::jumping1::jumping1::jumping1:
It seems like it just ended. Nice to not have to wait very long! :goodvibes

I guess I should get to bed. I have a feeling this is going to be a very long night, considering Tyler's already woken up twice because of his throat hurting. :guilty:

Hey, Deb hasn't been on here today. Hope everything's OK.

Goodnight all! :cloud9:

One more thing (even though I'm talking to myself here). I found a really cute hotel with "treehouse" rooms. Cute and cheap too! I'm hoping our friends will agree to stay there with me & Tyler. :thumbsup2 I want to just get something booked. She's being wishy washy....about price, number of days, etc. This place would be a great price and will be close enough to everywhere we'd want to go. I'll probably just end up booking it myself because I'm afraid of waiting for her to decide, and then having her decide not to go after all, and then I'm screwed.

doesn't sound good my friend, I'd be prepared. Stick the bucket by his bed just in case :thumbsup2

and luckly you can hand him to his father you only have to deal with it half time ;)

Someone with a fried brain and a headache. I think I'm going home and just going to sit and stare into space.

O HECK....maybe I'll go home and take a NAP...just remembered The Closer is new tonight and that other new show is on too......don't think they come on till later.....

HEY....anybody here have DVC points they might want to rent? Don't know for sure yet, but Peg may be looking for up to 88 pts for BCV Su-Th after our Tortola cruise. I have a couple of DVC/DIS friends I will approach directly...don't like the idea of renting from strangers. I told her she needs to decide soon, as the 7 month booking window should be around the 2nd week of Feb.

....ok really going home now.....

.

Let's talk. I need to see what in the world I've done with all of my points. I "believe" that after I made our May booking, I banked our remaining points from our August 08 use year into our August 09 use year. I need to see what my balance is after banking and after the booking for the 2-bedroom, for Sukie, me and a couple of Arizona babes. I've never rented out points, but that's because of the whole stranger issue and you never know what crept out of the Black Lagoon.

Also - did you know that "The Closer" is one of Sukie's favorite shows.

Well...you're not going to believe the night I've had...

I ended up going to the Dr. to find out I had an infection (female problems... sorry bubba...) had to run all over to get my Rx's and then stop at the store, got home and mom was fixing dinner - I took my meds and we ate and I came back upstairs because MY meds were starting to kick in and I wanted to lay low until the effects passed... all of a sudden I hear my mom SCREAM from downstairs.. I dropped everything and ran - it seems the dizzy spells came back but this time they were accompanied by a flush of heat - she even turned bright red. I found her holding on to the sink in the kitchen almost fainting... she got sick, then broke out in a sweat and fell to the floor just as I caught her. In a couple of minutes she was ok - still shakey...but ok. I got her up and rested on the couch... and everything calmed down. I guess the problems with her ears are back. I am calling the Dr. in the AM...

I told her that I'm getting her a personalized life alert thingy if this keeps up... :sad2:

:grouphug:
oh my goodness!!!:grouphug:

I sure hope BOTH of you get better soon!!! All my love to both of you!

BTW, Mom got out of her place in Ellenton, I was there today, cleaning and finishing up. It was hard for her, but now that the break is done, she seems much more cheerful and ready for a change. Some people came to look at it to buy today, but they didn't like it. But I know someone will love it! And want to buy it. She's got it rented for the next 3 months, so that's a good thing.

We are going furniture shopping this week. She's actually looking forward to that!

Connie what a relief. Now remind me how close is she to you now? Do you have siblings to help you with her?

Michelle - How awful. Please take care of yourself and Barb. Our thoughts and wishes are with you.:grouphug:

Thanks... :)

Hello everyone. I had a great weekend and now I'm back to my old self. I'm not caught up at all and I have to work an entire day today :faint: I'm a little nervous since the job isn't at my school and I've never worked this position before. It is the highest paying one though which is the nurse. Hopefully it works out.

I read that if you are trying to get the cold to go away you need to go out on February 20 at high noon and yell "Hoodie-Hoo" at the sky and try to scare away the cold. I figured if we all did it together we would all look like idiots so it would be alright. It's up to you since it is in the 60's here.

I have no time to catch but I wanted to tell you not to believe any rumors that you heard about this weekend. I would demand proof before you believe anything :lmao: I just sat around the whole time reading a book :flower3:

G... We do that alot up here... it doesn't work...

Yep, North America, Central America (I'm not sure about South America) and the Philippines (I'm not sure about Japan) use Letter Size, which is 8.5 inches by 11 inches.

Europe and parts of Asia uses A4 which is a DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) standard.

I know this from my many years of working overseas in Europe and Asia and the need to produce travel documentation formatted for the different standards.

HUH???? :upsidedow

It occurred to me, while waiting for the bus this morning in the 4F temperature that we, in the Midwest, are due for a winter thaw. It normally comes in February every year when it can get up into the '50's.

Given the amount of snow and ice that has accumulated, a rapid thaw is going to cause a mess.

The thaw only lasts a week and then the temperature plummets again.

I fear that Jumpin Jacks will be under water again this year... :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Oh geez. Not good. Here's hoping everything works out!

Thanks.. :)

wow that is cold.
I am so sick, I wish I could sleep or breathe through my nose.

GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!

It was a busy late evening for us tonight, and I'll pay for it tomorrow. We went out for dinner and to play board games at a couple's house who we officially met yesterday. It was fun, but ended up staying out until almost 10pm, so the girls went to bed 2 hours late. They'll be okay in the morning, but they'll be grouchy tomorrow evening, and I'll have to be very patient since I chose to stay out and finish playing the game.

Michelle - hope everything is okay with your mom :grouphug:

Holly - glad to hear you had fun skiing (that's good exercise!) Hopefully Tyler is able to sleep tonight, and feels better in the morning. Will he gargle with salt water? It tastes gross but does help a sore throat.

Who exactly is this so called Jackie?

Don't you know Ian...

Yep that's right. It was 100% your choice to stay out late rather than come home early and let the girls get to bed on time.

Oh well we had fun and I won the game. So all is good! But I'm beat as I got a lot more done today than I had planned. It's tiring working outside in that cold weather! So I think I might head to bed.

Have to head to PG tomorrow for work

Update on mom...

We're pretty sure it was food poisoning...

We both ate the same dinner but she had turnip that she had had around for a while...

Needless to say... the leftovers are history...

Thanks everyone for your :grouphug:

Ohhh Ken... you can't complain... you won...

Have a safe trip... :thumbsup2

Well I guess I'll just have to take time out from house renos just to see where we are at with this. And if I don't get all my work done before Shannon gets home from work, well, I'll just have to blame it on you Marilyn. So you and Shannon can discuss it!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Nope I don't have you anywhere. I did however, get an e-mail from you asking to converse via e-mail with the Wii and my home e-mail address. I wonder if you entered the info in the wrong area??

You did acknowledge us so I sent you Shannon's and my Mii's. We should be arriving on your telly any time now! :)

I registered both Wii number and email as I thought that was what we had to do!! So, I wonder why you haven't got our Mii's?:confused3

I had a great time skiing today! A couple of the teachers were taking lots of pics, so as soon as they get them uploaded, I'll share here. I didn't get to ski much because they needed all the adults to help with the kids. It was a disaster. I was picking kids up left and right, as they kept falling trying to get UP the bunny hill! ;) Lots of grumpy and unhappy kids, but nobody broke anything, so that's good. Whenever a few kids went inside for a break, one teacher and I kept taking off for the bigger hills. :cool1: I used to ski a lot, started when I was 7 or 8 years old, and was in the ski club in middle school and high school. But I haven't gone for about 15 years, so I was worried about forgetting how. But just like everybody told me, as soon as I started going down the hill, I felt just like it had only been a couple weeks since I last skied. SO MUCH FUN!!!! I need to do it more often because it was so amazingly fun to do something I love so much. I'd forgotten how much I love it and I had just a major uplifting feeling afterwards. I was sort of floating on a cloud the whole ride home. Hard to explain, but it was wonderful!

Tyler, not so much. He was frustrated, angry, SCREAMING, throwing his stuff, pounding on a wood fence, etc. because he couldn't get up the bunny hill. Sorry to say this, but I sort of ignored him and pretended like he wasn't mine while I helped other kids who were actually trying (without throwing a fit). He stayed grumpy the rest of the day and was sound asleep in bed by 6:15!!!! He told me he was really tired and asked me if it was bedtime, so I told him it was (even though it wasn't). Hopefully when he wakes up in the morning, the crabbies will be gone.

BUT....I'm thinking of going skiing on Saturday while he's at his dad's!!!!!!!! :hyper:

Sounded fun, apart from Tyler being a tad cross. I would try and take up skiing again Holly. It would be good for you.

I hope you managed a good night with Tyler and he wakes up feeling better.

This must be a huge wwight off your mind Connie. Enjoy the shopping.

I have your Mii's from way back when you got your Wii.

I have few suggestions:

- Have you set up your Mii's to travel? You do this with one of the features (I can't remember which one) on the Mii channel.

- You can also send your Mii's to friends. On the Mii channel click on the icon that looks like an envelope. Then grab a Mii using A + B and drop it on the envelope, and send it to a friend.

Thanks Ian. I didn't know about sending the Mii's, but I had set them up to travel. I will go on in a bit and see!!

I thought I'd share something that might amuse you folks.

At one of my WW meetings this past Sunday, a member asked if I was going to give out Superbowl recipes.

This caught me really by surprise.

I said, "When's the Superbowl?"

I honestly had no clue.
