Headed off to bed. My body is sore from hiking up that big sledding hill, lugging the heavy snow tubes behind. :rotfl2: Sure makes up for a missed day at the gym, and skiing tomorrow will certainly make up for another missed day at the gym! :thumbsup2 Goodnight all! :cloud9:

I am sob sob sob   to watch drama called A Short stay in Switzerland

Julie Walter - actor about illness and want to die in Switzerland...

So much for visiting Switzerland...

This is so cool: I'm watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition, the family is on the Magic, and mom & dad of the family are renewing their wedding vows on Castaway Cay! You can see the "Heads Up" bar in the background. Awesome!

And they never invite us... :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Still uploading the last of the pics from the best birthday party ever that Gaylean threw for Venetia. Thanks my little cupcake for all your hard work and thoughtfullness!!!!:flower3:

I just read through 20 pages and I'm all caught up.

Loved seeing the pictures from Venetia's birthday party!

We had a good time on Friday night, but for a dinner/dance, they didn't get to the dancing part until 10pm, which is too late for a family event. It was hosted by a dance studio so after the eating, there was a bunch of performances. Way too many performances. My girls were asking when the dancing for everybody would start. But eventually they got to the dancing part and the girls had fun. We'll have to post some pictures.

Then yesterday we rushed home, and after lunch instead of working on the living room renos, I asked Ken to play Wii-Lego Indy, and that took 8 hours, but we finished off 2 movies and had some laughs.

Today we got some reno work done and I'm being lazy tonight.:wave2:

O.K.....This is the last of them......

This is what the TWO Champagne Girls drank last night! Jon and I had NOT ONE sip of these bottles!

Some pics from our weekend.

There was 8 kids and 8 adults in our group. So we had a kids table and an adults table. Here's a bunch of the kids.(Nephew-9,Shaelyn, Niece-12,Kaleigh,Neice-11) They all had fun, and went and played together in the hallway when they got bored waiting for their chance to dance inside.

Here's another nephew, during the "bonniest knees" contest. He's the blond with the black striped shirt.

I am in need of a little advice. As you all might know by now, I have a vacation planning and program called Mouse Manager, that works for both DVC and non-DVC owners.

I now have about 1,400 registered users. Mouse Manager is free. My premise has always been that contributions to supporting it financially would be voluntary.

And people have supported it. The web hosting company costs for the associated web site with dining menus and reviews, was paid for by the donations.

But to be honest, out of the 1,400 registered users, about 5 have help out financially.

I am now facing a financial dilemma.

The software that Mouse Manager is built with has just released an update, one which I could really use. The update costs, $299. I am now out of contributed funds that I use to pay the web host. The web costs come to about $200 a year.

I would like to start working on version 2.0 for Mouse Manager and include often requested features for expanded vacation planning, cruise vacation planning and other features.

I would really want to build it using the latest version of the software.

For me to keep going would require at least $500, and perhaps I'm being ornery, but what with Sukie's medical bills, I don't feel like paying it out of my pocket.

So, what I'm wondering is, whether I should send out an email to the 1,400 registered users with a request to contribute to support the continuation of Mouse Manager? Not a threat, just an honest plea for support.

I have not to date, over the 18 months that Mouse Manager has been available made such a plea, but I don't see how it can go on without it. I'm also rather uncomfortable doing it, because it comes down to the equivalent of sitting on the street and begging. So, I am torn between financial reality and pride.

I'm looking for some input, which as always is greatly appreciated.

Yes fire off an e-mail stating that you would like to upgrade Mouse Manager and continue to offer it for free, however, you are needing to raise some capital in order to keep it free. Therefore, if you are interested in continuing to see Mouse Manager grow and develop for your future use, please feel free to use the donation button on the website.

That way you aren't begging, but you are offering something for the funds.

You will probably be surprised at the # of people willing to help out. I have a friend of mine that I helped him get started with a fan site for a football team and that fan site is now a money generator for him just through donations and support payments for the site.

We are complaining about cold and snow...I read this today: Pretty unbelievable

Snow falls in United Arab Emirates for only second time in recorded history...

Snow fell on the Jebel Jais mountain area in the United Arab Emirates for the second time in recorded history this weekend, reports the National. The area is 25 kilometers from Ras al Khaimah City, one of the emirates in the UAE. The event was so rare there was no word to describe it, according to a resident

So when do I get palm trees up here??

I know, I know!!!! But you must admit I made up for it yesterday!!!! And besides, you've all seen the rides we went on , right?

Yep you certainly did. All is good with the photography gods once again.

As for rides, if you went on Toy Story Mania then nope I haven't seen all the rides you went on...

 Hi Shannon!! Cool pics. No Canadien food porn??:sad2: And Ken yelled at me!!!

Okay, here's the one food porn shot. Robbie Burn's Night must have HAGGIS! There's a ceremony to bring it into the room, and then a little ceremony to actual do the first cut into it before starting dinner.

Except that that looks like some sort of rock... I'm not commenting... :crazy2:

Well...you're not going to believe the night I've had...

I ended up going to the Dr. to find out I had an infection (female problems... sorry bubba...) had to run all over to get my Rx's and then stop at the store, got home and mom was fixing dinner - I took my meds and we ate and I came back upstairs because MY meds were starting to kick in and I wanted to lay low until the effects passed... all of a sudden I hear my mom SCREAM from downstairs.. I dropped everything and ran - it seems the dizzy spells came back but this time they were accompanied by a flush of heat - she even turned bright red. I found her holding on to the sink in the kitchen almost fainting... she got sick, then broke out in a sweat and fell to the floor just as I caught her. In a couple of minutes she was ok - still shakey...but ok. I got her up and rested on the couch... and everything calmed down. I guess the problems with her ears are back. I am calling the Dr. in the AM...

I told her that I'm getting her a personalized life alert thingy if this keeps up... :sad2:

I would have like to as I thought it would be good and I love Julie Walters, but I just didn't feel like doom and gloom!!

I LOVE this!

Wasn't it used for a PG Tips commercial?

I believe it was - or it could have been Typhoo tea.

I just had to email Sukie all of the links.

There are quite a few on Youtube. I had forgotten about the chimps. We always used to look forward to a new chimp advert - now, of course, we realise it wasn't quite the correct thing to do to use chimps in that way, but they were fun.

Marilyn,

You started something at Eastwood Manor. It turned into wireless night. I think the adverts got Sukie going.

Of course he told me that he also remembered the King. I pointed out that he was 5 months old when Betty Windsor ascended the throne, so I doubted he could remember the King.

By the way, how do you think she feels about everybody licking the back of her head?

Well it has kept her a fine head of hair!!!

So much for visiting Switzerland...

There is a place in Switzerland you can go to for assisted suicide. That is what the film was about.

That's a bit scary Michelle, and when you were not feeling well too. I hope the Dr. can sort your mom out quickly, and that you feel better soon too. You have had enough now!!

Michelle - How awful. Please take care of yourself and Barb. Our thoughts and wishes are with you.:grouphug:

Ian, are you in trouble for forgetting Nan?:scared1: At least it is Monday and no slapping on a Monday.

Good Morning All!

I spent most of the afternoon and evening yesterday snoozing in bed. I am off to work shortly.

After our balmy week in the 30's, we are back into the teens. This morning it is 4F, but is supposed to warm up to about 17F..

You know, quite frankly, I don't like the concept of PTO time. I much preferred it when we had sick time and vacation time. It's my opinion that more people are coming into work sick now and in turn getting everyone else sick.
