Thanks but I'm not really that wise.

You have a wonderful way of describing real life so that others realize they are not alone in their experiences. That is a tremendous boost to anyone. :thumbsup2

And--you do know a lot about a lot of topics, express yourself well, do not mind sharing and are honest.

Book more cruise be more sane :hyper: It makes perfect sense.

I'm glad I'm not alone in this :grouphug:

Now THAT would be a good TAG!!

If no one sees the Tag Fairy, that would be worth adding yourself unless you already have a tag and this would delete it. (I don't know how tagging works if you do it yourself after the Tag Fairy did one.....)

Have you been choosing filling foods? Lots of zero point veggies? Also, many "mini-meals" help instead of 3 larger ones? Have you talked to your leader?

I usually eat a salad before every meal. Plus I eat raw veggies throughout the day. Our dinners usually consist of meat and cooked veggies as well. I find myself cutting out carbs like potatoes and rice just because they have points. I'm wondering if maybe my body is still getting used to it. I always have a hard time the first week or two but this time it is hard one day and then easy the next. I noticed that the kids had been complaining about being "starving" too so I put the carbs back into their diets. I wasn't trying to take them away, we just weren't eating them. I told Venetia I was going to PM you the other day but she helped me through it. I ate a few more points last week and lost what I was suppose to so I'm hoping that works. Maybe I'm working off more than I think. I don't give myself any activity points.

I have a DISboards friend who won $100,000 on that show! He's booked a couple of WDW vacations for his family with some of the winnings...GOOD MAN!:thumbsup2

Maybe I really should go on the show. The problem is I sing different lyrics sometimes :rotfl2:

Thanks. It never hurts to hear these things about myself :thumbsup2

It is a great tag but I would hate to delete Bubble wrap and huge ziplocks :rotfl2:

Wow, I have read your replies to others' posts, and I say you are indeed very wise. You add something to people's lives you know!!

Well I'll come here if I need to hear kind words about myself ;) Thank you guys for loving me for who I am. I need that.

Morning kids!

Quick ? before I go catch up on I think about 10 pages - not too bad...

Why are scales so different?? Why do we get different weights on different scales?? :scratchin

I decided to buy a new scale (WW one w/ hydration levels and body fat nbrs) and set it up this morning. I decided to weigh myself on my old one (shows I'm down 11 lbs for the month) then got on the new one (says I'm 3 lbs less than the old one). PLUS we have one at work (being used for the office Biggest Loser) and that one usually is 2 lbs higher than my old one.

SOO CONFUSED!! Sure I'd like to believe the new scale, but want to be realistic...HELP anyone??? :confused3

Gay - hope you have a safe & easy drive done to see V & Bubba today. PLease give the bday girl and her hubby a hug for me (then tell V to hug you for me too :goodvibes )

Ian - interesting things happening at work for you....hope it works out the way you want it to & that it causes less stress for you. Hope you feel better today too....stay inside, watch movies & stay hydrated :grouphug:

Well, whatever the individual scales say, you are doing wonderfully!!!:thumbsup2

THanks Maz!

How has your day gone? I'm sitting here playing, and doing :laundy: Need to head out shortly to the library.

Just sent a pm to Ann & Albert - we were going to try to meet up for tea in London, but now w/ the flight I was able to get for the miles, it throws a wrench into those plans. Not sure if they'll want to meet up for breakfast/brunch near Heathrow on the 26th or possibly lunch on the 10th (my flight leaves LHR at 320pm). If not we'll save tea for my next trip over :goodvibes

Off to Universal to meet Jon and Gaylean. I'll be sure to take pics this time. Wish you all could join us.:crowded:

The activity points and weekly points are there for you to use, so I would recommend using them, if you have them.

I love carbs and have never cut them out, but my choices are very different, brown rice, whole wheat pasta, etc.

We have recently gotten into steel cut oatmeal. It's the kind that takes 30 minutes to cook. I make a big batch and keep it in the fridge. Then I add sweetener, flavoring, and a little water and heat it up in the microwave. A cup is only 2 points. I find it very satisfying and the steel cut oatmeal has a very different texture from regular oats and also a slightly nutty flavor.

I would bring all these things up in your weekly meeting.

That's why I never weigh myself at home, only at WW. I think it is best to stick with one scale.

Plus, the scale is NOT the only measure, things like how clothing feels, how you feel, etc are also measures.

Back from the morning's errands. Now I just have to get some stuff ready for my WW meetings tomorrow morning (plus maybe a little work on Mouse Manager for the 2010 points) and then I'm going to collapse.

Part of our errands was a stop at Office Max to look at office chairs for Sukie. His chair is falling apart and a caster just broke off of it.

Of course a real dilemma for us is how to get it home. I had thought that we would just shop today, and brought a tape measure so we could measure the dimensions of the carton, then I would have to come back without Sukie to pick it up, provided it could fit in Mrs Fezziwig.

Much to my surprise, Office Max offers free delivery if the purchase is over $50, so problem solved.

The temperature has dropped again and it's now 6F (it was 2F when we left the house). So, I know where I'll be staying today.

I will say that it is nice that our generation is trying to bring it back to simpler times. I was just having this conversation with my mom. She said she never even thought for a moment that I would ever stay home. It was rough when the kids were little but I was home with them. Plus I was the first person in my family that nursed their babies.

I nursed all 3 kids for 18 months. I carried the pump and freezer with me and the whole deal. I loved nursing my children. It was one of the most wonderful parts of the whole experience. I am glad you loved it too!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
