It's in the plus here - even in Celsius! That's just downright balmy. Practically Summery even ....

(aww c'mon admit it; you read that last line as Snagglepuss and you know it!)

They're doing a bait and switch here! Yesterday, the news was that it was going to be 51F on Saturday, now they say it's only going to be 47F.

However THIS morning, it's -1F and going up to 30F.

This actually causes me a major problem, because I have to dress for the temperature when I'm waiting for the bus in the morning and the walk to work (including a walk across the Chicago River).

I know I'm going to be roasting later on the way home.

Peg is asking the same question regarding Faith & Hope. Peg also had mixed emotions when I told her Cheri booked the WBTA...she was hoping to get her to sit then.

I think we need to offer some of our other WBPC cruise mates two week vacations in Chicago and Phoenix next September. (PEG HAS A POOL...and really good air conditioning!):thumbsup2

Someone sent this to me!!!

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

Oh Ian, you have no idea how much I would love to answer this ad. But if I could get 2 straight weeks off again I would be on the cruise with you guys.

Chicago is really the only BIG city outside my home state that I would like to visit.

I wanted to share a bit of disney trivia with ya all.

Peter Pan was released February 5th 1953.

Happy Anniversary to the Pan and his Tinker bell.

I have a daily Disney calendar on my desk:thumbsup2

ok, I need this weather to warm up, that is why I am staying SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Now the girls are all sniffles...bet John gets it too! Yuck!

My mom is trying to convince us to come up to her house this weekend so we can celebrate Haley's birthday, I am not all that inclined but wouldn't have to clean house!

how do you people stay warm?

Jillian Michaels is evil. My legs aren't working today. :rotfl2: Nothing hurts, my whole body is just stiff and my legs are like spaghetti. :rotfl:

Wow, I usually snack all day long, sort of grazing, but haven't felt the need for anything since breakfast, and my lunch hour is in 20 minutes! :cool1:

Holly - well, atleast you know you DID work out (vs those that don't really do anything for you) :rotfl: So how much was it? (if you don't mind my asking?)
What kind of stuff does she make you do?

Did you book that HJ treehouse room yet?

I think it was about $11.00. She has you do a big variety of things, most are low impact, which is good because my knees are bad. And even stuff that requires jumping (jumping jacks, pretend jumproping) or bending (lunges), she says just do what you can do and you'll get better at it eventually. I don't remember everything, but it involves jumping jacks, back leg kicks (where you try to kick yourself in the butt), punching, side lunges with handweights (mine are 2 pounds, I think she recommends 1 pound), crunches for abs, reverse crunches for lower abs, side crunches, lie on your back with knees up and using hand weights, put your arms straight out above your chest and lower and bring back up (I think she called them flies or something like that), and lots of other stuff. I can't remember it all, but you go quickly from one activity to the next with no break between. What I like is knowing I only have 1 or 2 or 3 minutes on each activity. Sort of breaks it up for me.

Didn't book HJ room yet, can't until I get my tax refund tomorrow. Then I'll book that and airfare and get that taken care of .

The Magic Watch

OK, I thought, while I'm sitting here eating lunch, I'd share something with all of you.

Ever since I started working, I have always worn a character watch.

One day, I decided that work was awful and things weren't going right in my life. In short, I wasn't having a good time. So, I decided to get a new watch, because then I might start having a better time.

Ever since then (about 20 years ago), if I wasn't having a good time, I've bought a new character watch. I really have to be at the point where I am fed up and at my wit's end, meaning, changing my watch is not something I take lightly.

About 2 weeks ago, Thursday, the strap on my watch broke. I had to wear a new watch. It was a Roger Rabbit 20th anniversary watch I bought in Disneyland when we got married.

The day after, my boss met with me to "feel me out" about the job change. Then on Monday, after that (now wearing the new watch for 4 days) my role was changed.

I know this is just a coincidence, but it is a bit spooky all the same.

So, my advice is, if you're not having a good time with your life ... get a new watch.
