No but I remember her putting me in the red wagon, on the top of the slide - where she was going to let me go down the slide (in the wagon) if the neighbor hadn't screamed her head off and made my mother run down 2 flights of stairs to stop her :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Have a great day at work.:grouphug:

Oh my brother would chase me around the pool table so he could beat me up and my sister would chase him to save me. I think the worst thing they did to me was lock my imaginary friend in their rooms and pretend like they were hurting him. They were 2 years apart and then I was 5 years later so they would play together and leave me out. I made up a friend named Osis and they were mean to him.

Never!!!:lmao:

by the way, what is on Venetia's t shirt in her photo from the 80's?

I have no idea. I don't even remember that top. I think it was right about 1985 cause I did not have glasses before then.

You'd have to ask her. That fashion must have been before my time :rotfl2:
Hey what happened to your champagne girls logo?

:wave2: Monica

:wave2: Gay, if you havent already left for work

OK, you've all motivated me to look for my old pics tonight after I drop Tyler at his dad's. Then I'll scan them tomorrow and post when I get home tomorrow evening. :thumbsup2

Monica, Ken has a nice laptop/camera back. Its a LowePro backpack with a laptop compartment in the back. Then the front bottom half is actual camera section, and the front top is just a normal section, plus the side has the water bottle spots.

I think this is his model. He'll probably come on later and add his 2 cents.

Hi Shannon - I have a lowepro bag but I kind of like the security aspects of the other bags - I don't feel comfortable in crowds w/ a backpack

Looking to possibly buy a new backpack and found these....which would you choose & why??

Need space for my camera (remember what it looked like?? :rotfl: ) and possibly my laptop (not sure if I'll take it w/ me on the cruise)

thanks!

Monica,

Given the prices, I would strongly suggest looking at eBags. They have a big sale on now:

I did get a kick out of the video and how they "securely" attached it to a pole! That was funny!

Depending on the size of your laptop you might want to get specs on sizes.

I do know that Lowepro makes some nice camera bags (I own 2 of them so yes I am biased).

This one might work for you:

And I own this one (The Fastpack 350 - the big one) but it is quite bulky and I prefer not to take it anywhere with me. It is good for having on the plane, but for generally carrying around stuff it is bulky and can get heavy. But because I have a 17" laptop, there wasn't much in the way of options. I use it everyday to take my camera and laptop to work, however.

For just carrying around my camera (and equipment) I really like the slingshots. I own the 100AW but am thinking about moving up to the 200AW (Shannon's not reading this right?):

As you can see I really like the side panels to get your camera out of the bag.

LOL. Didn't see this until after I posted above!

But yes dear, that's the one I have.

Now can we talk about that new lens and flash I want to buy to put in the bag?

Hi Shannon - I have a lowepro bag but I kind of like the security aspects of the other bags - I don't feel comfortable in crowds w/ a backpack

The security stuff did intrigue at first with those ones you showed as well.

However, that is one reason why I really like the slingshots and the fastpack. The main zippers are on the sides and not on the back. The foam straps on them are quite tough and if someone had a knife they are more likely to out and out assault you rather than try and cut the straps. Plus when you are really uncomfortable, with a slingshot you can move it around so it sits in front of you quite easily. I have worn it like that sometimes when I go into a store with lots of breakables as I am more aware of where the slingshot bag is (it's in front of me) so I don't act quite as much like a bull in a china shop.

The zippers being hooked into that clasp is a neat feature, but it can also get annoying to constantly have to undo it to get at stuff - namely your camera. But if you really like that feature, you can get clasps like that at a craft store and put them on yourself, or you can go to a luggage store and get actual locks for the zippers.

The big thing is to get a bag that is comfortable and easy to use. And with comfortable I don't mean just one that sits nicely on your back or shoulders, it also has to make you feel comfortable that the items you store inside it are safe and secure. As such, I really don't like buying backpacks that I can't try out first. Which of course makes internet shopping quite interesting!

There, 3 posts about the bags. Does that constitute giving you my 3 cents worth instead of just two? (Oh maybe it was Canadian cents so I had to add the extra to make it 2 American cents).
