What program has a finale tonight?

You know I have to admit something to all of you ... I have never watched a reality program (Think about it, look who I've spent the past 21 years living with. Most of the time I'm trying to escape reality).

At any rate, when I started posting on the cruise threads a few months before the cruise, I noticed a posting about someone having to watch "AI."

I thought it stood for Artificial Intelligence as in the movie. Then AI was mentioned week after week. I found myself thinking that surely they can't be obsessed with that film.

Wait, I take it back ... I just realized that we do watch two reality programs of sorts, we watch the Antiques Roadshow and the History Detectives.

I'm not a huge fan of reality shows but there are a few that make me think I am lucky and there are a few that inspire me.

Still got 3 minutes left on my break, so I'll share a cute story.

Kaleigh (DD3) has been complaining off and on for the last few days that she has seeds in her eyes. Ken finally figured out yesterday that she really means sleep in her eyes. We asked her if its really sleep in her eyes and she said its because when she's asleep a monster comes and puts seeds in her eyes. I'm surprised, she's never complained about the monster at bedtime!

Now I have to get back to work!

Gaylean, I wouldn't worry Kids take in a lot more than we think sometimes, my daughter certainly didn't express the same sentiments 10 yrs ago Same can be said for my son!

I'm glad to hear it. Maybe I was the same way as a child but we really didn't have a lot and I think I learned from that I'm worried about teaching them how to take care of themselves. We new about money because we didn't get most of things we wanted. I try to get them to save for things they want but Ethan just saves and never spends and Brooke just wants to give it to me

Lisa, the wedding is in Pohick Church. Do you know it? I'm in charge of prepping all the flowers and seating people. DD is the flower girl. We are dreading this trip.

I have heard of this church....very historic.....over near Mount Vernon and I think George Washington was a founding member or something. This is way on the other side of town....in Lorton VA.

Why are you dreading it?? Long trip that is for sure!!

I must have skip a lot of posts. This is a baby book moment. When I was potty training Brooke she use to tell me she made a brown one

When I was asking Ethan about pictures on flash cards, I asked him what a clock said and he said (I can't spell it) eh eh eh that horrible sound that comes from alarm clocks!

Nan, somehow I don't see a happy ending for them And to be perfectly honest, I don't think that would be the best thing , at least not at this point in time. It is sad, because they both really love their daughter, but Samantha has some very real and serious issues. She has little to no support from her own family. We suspect she is bi-polar, she did have a doctor suspect this a few years ago but no clear diagnosis . She did agree to see a doctor a few months ago and went on some meds, but gave them up after a couple of weeks. I am trying to offer her support and a safe environment for both her and Serenity.

My DH loved his in-laws too. When he passed, my parents felt they had lost a son
My daughter has a strong sense of family She has a very hard time understanding others that don't cherish and treat other family members with love and kindness. We did not have a lot of money when we raised our family (still don't ) but I'm so glad that my kids grew up knowing what is really important.

Gretchen's birthday is July 24th.....she will be 12 this year!!

Lisa, what time of day was Gretchen born? Brian was born at 11pm. My brother's birthday is July 25, we always kid that Brian didn't want to share, he wanted his own day!

Ian, that's what I thought AI was at first too! I do watch one reality show, Survivor, but that's it.
