Happy Monday everyone. After a very emotional long and not so fun weekend with the IL's I am back! Never thought I would be so happy to get home and back to work. Over the last 15 years with Scott this was by far the worst experience with his family ever, and I am not sure it will get any better. Oh well....I have lots of "family" elsewhere so I am good! As the saying goes you can choose your friends not your family and I am very happy with my friends!!! ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: (I'll use Nan's favorite guy there!)

I am too far behind to catch up, so I'll start from here and hope everyone had a great weekend.

The wedding is supposed to be announced tonight - May 9,2009.

hmmmm, interesting date....seems like it might be a reunion reason for a ship of theives....are you in????

now there is an idea...but I would have a devastated Taylor if I did that! :goodvibes (and Tay is really too little to fly alone IMHO)

oh sure, nice excuse. I counter with you should ALL come!!!

Lets go back to talking about 90210. I don't know anything about this show!

Well, you could just watch the darn show with the rest of us and get caught up:rolleyes1

Nan, somehow I don't see a happy ending for them :sad2: And to be perfectly honest, I don't think that would be the best thing , at least not at this point in time. It is sad, because they both really love their daughter, but Samantha has some very real and serious issues. She has little to no support from her own family. We suspect she is bi-polar, she did have a doctor suspect this a few years ago but no clear diagnosis . She did agree to see a doctor a few months ago and went on some meds, but gave them up after a couple of weeks. I am trying to offer her support and a safe environment for both her and Serenity.

which is the best thing you can do. Sorry for the outcome, but glad you can have a hand with the baby. I'm sure that makes your son feel safe.

Lisa, the wedding is in Pohick Church. Do you know it? I'm in charge of prepping all the flowers and seating people. DD is the flower girl. We are dreading this trip. :guilty:

My husband thinks he has the best in-laws EVER because they aren't like his family. When his friends complain about their mother-in-laws he tells them it's his mother that is bad not mine.

My DH loved his in-laws too. When he passed, my parents felt they had lost a son :sad1:
My daughter has a strong sense of family:hug: She has a very hard time understanding others that don't cherish and treat other family members with love and kindness. We did not have a lot of money when we raised our family (still don't :lmao:  ) but I'm so glad that my kids grew up knowing what is really important.

I was recently given this link to watch a song from Molly's last play Grease.

The girl that played the lead, Sandy, is the big sister of Wilson's baseball friend and the person that introduced Molly to the theater group. Hence a good friend :flower3:

You can see just a blip of Molly in the very last group that comes on the stage on the right side (facing the stage)

Loved it!

(Do I have to come out there and teach Molly how to arrange for the star to have an "accident" and so take over the leading role?

What are they teaching kids these days? Teamwork? Collaboration?

I expect her to watch "All About Eve" before the weekend and have a 1000 word essay on my desk.)

I wish you could give me some pointers. I'm so worried about Brooke. She is always asking me why people have stairs and we don't. I try to tell her that most of her most of her friends didn't go on a Disney Cruise and that works for a while but I wonder what she be like as teen. Ethan tells people when they get in my car that it is old. It is a 2004!

What program has a finale tonight?

You know I have to admit something to all of you ... I have never watched a reality program (Think about it, look who I've spent the past 21 years living with. Most of the time I'm trying to escape reality).

At any rate, when I started posting on the cruise threads a few months before the cruise, I noticed a posting about someone having to watch "AI."

I thought it stood for Artificial Intelligence as in the movie. Then AI was mentioned week after week. I found myself thinking that surely they can't be obsessed with that film.

Wait, I take it back ... I just realized that we do watch two reality programs of sorts, we watch the Antiques Roadshow and the History Detectives.

Gaylean, I wouldn't worry:hug: Kids take in a lot more than we think sometimes, my daughter certainly didn't express the same sentiments 10 yrs ago  Same can be said for my son!

I didn't see this earlier Nan. That is so cool.

My son's birthday is July 24th. My granddaughter's birthday is Sept22, I've taken that week as vacation time, Serenity's mom and I will be planning her 1st birthday party before long! I can't believe how fast the time goes!

Kathe

Gretchen's birthday is July 24th.....she will be 12 this year!!

Exactly! How does that happen! My daughter will be 28 this year!

Kathe

I look at pictures and think they were so cute. I know years from now I will look back on now and remember these times.
