Holly, more prayers and hugs sent your way. Hopefully they will find the right combination of meds and therapy quickly. It is so sad to see the little ones suffering.

Today is DrHug's last work day! Little scary too. He applied for his social security on line last week and already got his reply in the mail yesterday. They have all the info they need, his benefits start August and his first check will be direct deposited the second Wed in Sept. I am impressed! He applied early to give them time to process it. Just one little glitch, they show his total income for 2005 as $17,000. Um, he made just a tad more than that! They will have to correct that and it will probably make just a little difference in his check. In the whole scheme probably not a lot.

We are scurring to get the details taken care of on the house. Well testing still needs to be redone....job for DrHug tomorrow morning. We have to have proof the septic was pumped in the last 5 years. It was in Jan 2007, but I can not find a receipt, not one of the septic companies can find a record of having done that, so......Dennis started digging the hole in the yard to uncover it before he left for work and a neighbor kid and I finished it up tonight. It is uncovered and ready to be pumped again tomorrow.

I guess I should add him then! I just found one of my best friends from high school. She studied in Japan after high school and we lost contact.

I just connected with a guy I used to hang around with ALL the time until he moved away in Grade 4 or so. The funny part is, he is friends with a friend of mine that I went to high school with in a different town! We didn't know we had a mutual friend until just the other day when facebook told us we both knew him. We had a good laugh over that one.

Now I have facebook, myspace, email and DIS boards and I still chat less than I did at the beginning of May

What are you talking about this place slowing down? I miss a day and get back and there are 15 pages to catch up on!!!

Big Sur is a good 1.5 hours away from us. So we are completely safe. But it's a shame these fires are just crazy this year.

When is the parade where you get to drive the 1963 convertible? Are you making costumes?

the parade is on July 19. Unfortuantely costumes are out as we have the honour of driving our local Member of Parliament in the parade instead. So the car will be decked out in Canada flags. I will let the girls decide if they want to be in the parade or just watch it.

My Dad let me take the '63 out for a drive today as he wanted me to get a feel for it before I take it on the highway in a couple of weeks. I must say I could get used to "just cruisin'" in it. It was kind of fun to drive. But it floats a bit at higher speeds, takes some time to get up to speed, it doesn't take too kindly to over correcting and I have to get used to drum brakes. But just little nuances of the car and the era that I'm not used to.

OMG I have to post this!! I got an interview at the Disney Store on TH. They finally called me back and they sounded as excited as I did. I almost fell of the couch when they said who it was. I am so excited and really want this job!!!

Woohoo!!! I told you to phone them back!! Good luck on the interview! Although I doubt you'll need it!

I know. I see Ken and John are friends now. This is crazy! We have to stay in touch now! I can totally see us doing a reunion cruise....but not to Alaska

tsk tsk tsk... You succumbed to peer pressure on facebook, I expect you will do the same here. Besides, just how disappointed will you be when everyone is posting about how great the reunion cruise was to Alaska and you weren't there?

Oh yes we are. If that's where disney goes, that's where we go. Beside, Ken accepted me as a friend, because "after all we are dragging Gaylean to Alaska together"

Has anyone been to Curacao (and stayed there, not like on a cruise)??? How about Barbados??

I LOVE Barbados.....I've never stayed there.....only did a DCL cruise, but I would definitely stay there. The people are so nice and so happy. It's a beautiful island.......and I got to swim with sea turtles and touch them and play underwater with them in the natural. It was awesome.

I remember having a hard time walking the last few blocks to get back to the boat, so we took a cab......me and John......we wanted to give the driver a $20 bill to say thanks for taking us both and he told me he would not accept it......it was way too much......he would only take $10. I was in a state of shock. I found all the people there to be like that.

They did.....on the first night around 11pm. I have pics and I think Jan did too. I don't have this computer right now but the others were better. It was really dark so all you could see was the lights on the stacks.

I "had" a photo of it.. but apparently it is missing, and presumed lost forever...

was a great site seeing the wonderful ship out there... knowing they are ending their vacation while we were beginning our extended vacation.

Aaaaaw Michelle, missed you! I decided to go and do my jobs and then get out to see if I can get some suitable shoes for the Christening on Saturday. Now I don't want to be bothered going out.

Going for a walk with my bereaved neighbour this afternoon. She is not doing very well - makes me cry to chat with her. It is onlly 3 weeks since Quintin died.

Oh it must be hard for your neighbour. That is good you take her out for a walk to help her. I know what it felt like for her as so suddendly she lost her husband. It take a while to recover it.

Well we're leaving tomorrow morning early so I guess that means the holiday is here and I better pack. We're only staying for 2 nights so it should go quickly. It's been a long time since we've been to Delaware.....probably a year or so......since I have posted pics of the area on here a while back. If we find the camera, we'll post more from this trip. John says he can't find it at the moment. I hope we didn't leave it at the hotel in Virginia Beach. I guess we'll have to really look for it tonight.

Wow, congrats to Dennis on his last day of work! Yeah, let's hope they get that amount corrected ahead of time. Should be an easy fix though.

What a pain that it has to be pumped again already! But I guess sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Soon this will all be behind you. Do you have sore muscles from digging?
