Holly, way back on page 5 you asked for pics of the cakes Shannon made for her nephews' birthdays this past weekend.

Well here they are:

This one is for Myles who was turning 16:

The trucks on the cake had their "engines" light up.

And this one was for Garrett who turned 9 and loves playing football:

These cakes look great. :worship: to Shannon. She is a super mom. I did make a sponge bob cake for Brooke one year but it was easy because he is square!

It was 2 weeks. No we left Florida and went across the Atlantic to Spain. 5 stops in all.

That sounds great. Someone told me about one that was 11 days and had 9 ports. That would be hard. I have a friend going on a 7 day next month and she thinks she is going to stay out at the ports until she has to come back. I thought that too but always wanted to come back on the ship early.

I have been voting, but missed the original connection. Ian, is this a friend?
Lisa

Lisa,

She is the wife of my close work colleague and is a violin teacher in a non-profit school that develops the musical gifts of inner city children. Her name is Shalisa Kline-Ugaz.

She is incredibly dedicated to the kids.

This past year, one of her students had problems because their family was poor and there were basic problems with their housing. Shalisa, somehow, got Extreme Home Makeover to do a super make over on her student’s family’s home.

Shalisa has gain reputation for such dedication to these kids, that a local television station recently did a news piece on her:

http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/someone_you_should_know&id=6159845

Shalisa, unknown to her, was nominated by her boss (the head of the school) for the Energizer Hall of Fame.

She had been chosen as a semi-finalist. The winner is determined, by Internet vote.

Please vote for Shalisa, I think she is a great person and a great inspiration and deserves recognition. You can vote once per day. Also please pass this on to other people.

Ian, do you know it the EHM episode has aired. I'm wondering if we saw it. Or is it upcoming still?

We're going to Hawaii in August 2009 so I just as soon not see Disney go there in 2010.

Want, not need!!!;) Now, when I was young.......;) :rotfl:

Lets here the story!

Things are a lot different even since Jon and I got married. He told me the other day "Do you remember when we would put $10.00 in the gas tank and we had to go inside to get change". Plus we didn't have to pay for cell phones or internet and I think all of our utilities were like $200.00 a month. Now it's like $1000.00. And don't get me started on how much it costs to fill up the gas tank now :badpc:

I don't see the love either. If you loved me you would go with me.:lovestruc I would go with you to Hawaii even though it's not were I want to go.

I said I would go. I'm just hoping they don't go there so you will go to Hawaii with me :lmao: I don't need to go to Hawaii. We've been there. I just want warm.

Ok feeling the :lovestruc again. But I'm still going to hope for Alaska.:duck:

It seems like they would wait to go anywhere over here until the new ships are done. They would have to have another Panama Canal cruise to get the ship to LA wouldn't they?

We can all do another PC cruise then!
