The info I was looking for was the FB link, thanks for pointing me in the right direction:wizard:

Just checked in as a Gold! (I will be Platinum after my upcoming 1/28 Wonder cruise!) Got Palo dinner and brunch all booked.

We are going to be at WDW a couple days as well. Probably drive to port the morning of.

Just trying to catch up after being at WDW this past weekend for the marathon weekend. It was hot for January.

Jon

I would be way to nervous to drive from Orlando to Miami the day of the cruise! It is a several hour drive, isn't it? What is there is a traffic delay?? We plan to rent a car the day before the cruise and drive to Ft Lauderdale. Shuttle from there to port morning of cruise.

Cookies and hot chocolate, again?

Absolutely! :thumbsup2

Ok maybe I should clarify. I did not mean laugh in a bad way. I guess the human need for companionship runs deeper in some people than others. Take for example Radiator Springs Racers here at DCA. I went with some friends this summer. We had a choice, and this did include one couple, we could wait in a posted 180 min stand by or a 30 min single rider. We went single rider. When we were in line we see a lot of couples in line. Now the funny thing is this couple very rarely does anything apart and are joined at the hip. The wife says, honey I love you with all my being, but I am so glad we are waiting only 30 min and not 3 hours. I can live without you for the 4 min that the ride lasts. I am sorry if it came off the wrong way. Like I said maybe its because we fly stand by and when we try to fly on crowded days we either look for separate flights to take or we are just very thankful that we got on the plane.

Now Dennis and I will do single rider! LOL We are not THAT joined at the hip. :lmao:

JetBlue fly to Fort Lauderdale and I know a few others are flying into there. How are you getting to Miami? I think we are looking at a cab even though it will be expensive. We would have needed one from Miami airport anyway so it is only a little over double with the tip. I don't fancy manoeuvring on the shuttle or rail link with 4 big bags, plus we would still have to get from their drop off points.

JetBlue seem to fly in and out of 4 New York airports, JFK, EWR, HPN and LGA. Does anyone have any idea which is the easiest, nicest etc. We will be coming from and returning to Manhattan.

Marilyn, we will be doing the shuttle from Ft Lauderdale to port. It seems reliable from reports and picks up at the hotels.

Since the DIS is a public forum with no membership required to read all the posts, my real name or those of my family will not be included on any list posted here. If you join the FE, that list is privately emailed out and will have names on it.

DIS name and first name does not seem like any info that is really identifiable. :confused3

I wasn't looking for full names or confidential information! Many of us seem comfortable signing with first names, though, so I wondered if there was a list anywhere on this board.

I really didn't mean to invade anyone's privacy.

I agree that first name with DIS name would not seem to invade anyone's privacy. :confused3

There have been DIS spreadsheets done in the past that require a password to access. :flower3:

We are also looking for a hotel for the 5th. I read somewhere back many pages about a 'group' sort of thing for a lovely hotel. Can anyone please share that info with us?

I'm also looking at comfort suites Free airport and cruise port.

If you look on page 79 of this thread the last post there talks about the Miami group hotel rate.:)

Keeping it simple. If you want to be a Champagne Girl, just post. I'll be keeping a list, so far:

Vakamalua
Megatron (?)
GoinPlaces63 (mother)
Happy Goofy
Brixton
Lexa

I wanna be a Champagne Girl too! :cheer2: Sounds fun!

Got our shore excursions:beach: and Palo dining booked! :cool1:

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Off to Typhoon Lagoon today :) Wish you were here!

Mom123, I've tried to post a poll on your thread and it won't give me the option to do it either. Not sure what the trouble is, I've done it before.
'
It's only a couple hundred miles on good roads to Miami. We're driving in the day of - good lord willin' and the creeks don't rise', we will arrive safely, in time for lunch.

Happy Day, all!

Nice to meet you! My husband, Dan & I just purchased our 1st RV! We are very excited and would love to meet up with others to learn the ins & outs of motor home travel. We are Dan & Connie Graves in the Tampa Bay area. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Welcome! What kind of RV did you get? We have an '06 Pace Arrow and we are just over the county line from Tampa in Wesley Chapel. Have you taken your RV to Ft. Wilderness yet? Wonderful experience!

Do you have to be the original thread starter to post a poll? I wonder if they are not cruising any more.

So never having done a cruise like this before, what can I expect from the weather in May through the PC? I've done the Western Caribbean during the summer months. Similar to that?

It was warm when we went in May of 2008 until we got to Cabo. It was VERY windy and most people had light jackets on that day. It was also cold (well, cold for someone who lives in Florida) the morning we arrived in LA, but we just went to the airport.

Seas depend on the Weather and other factors like the moon and such. Just be ready for rough seas.

On our two previous PC cruises (one in May and one in January) we had VERY calm seas. It was such a smooth trip both times, you hardly felt the ship even move. Fingers crossed that we will have the same luck on this cruise.

Got our shore excursions booked :cool1:
pixiedust: Palo Brunch dining booked :woohoo::woohoo:

:surfweb: All check in requirements/ contract printed / check! :wave2:

Let the count down begin!!!!!!..................:dance3: :bored:

Hope everyone got what they wanted to book.....

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

Got all our Port Adventures booked last night + Palo Brunch and Dinner. For those who wanted to know what excursions are being offered. I will try to list the ones that are NOT being offered and then you can compare this to the general list for the three ports other than CC.

Cartagena Not Listed: The two "Cartagena by Private Vehicle" tours.

Puerto Vallarta Not Listed: Banderas Bay Private Sailing Charter, Private Vans-Puerto Vallarta, Yelapa and Majahuitas, plus all of the whale watching ones.

Cabo Not Listed: Cabo Dolphin Kids, Cabo Del Sol Golf, Cabo Dolphin Trainer, Cabo My Way-Private Vehicles, Deluxe Villa Escape, Cabo Canopy Adventure, Mexican Fiesta and Folkloric Show, Salsa and Salsa, plus all of the whale watching ones.

My first impression is that the Puerto Vallarta zip line adventure (Extreme Canopy Adventure) is the only option for zip lining on this cruise as they are not offering the one in Cabo. So if you want to zip line at PV, BOOK EARLY. There were 4 times ranging from 7:45 AM to 9:15 AM for this so there will hopefully be plenty of spots available.

Obviously with the short stop in Cabo, that is the likely reason there are so many not listed.

Hope this information helps in planning...
