WBC Day 1 for a NOOB

Resort looks awesome and our 2 Bedroom Deluxe is awesome. But then...

A/C definitely needs to be overriden...search for how to do it. The 2nd bedroom has no a/c if you don't do it.

Parking Pass Timeshare folks are nasty...i think one tried to call my stupid for not taking the free vacation they were offering.

Views obviously are not guaranteed and don't go expecting the world (we are on 3rd floor overlooking the parking lot) after requesting Fireworks View. Requests truly are simply requests.

Don't plan on finding an easy parking spot if you come at park close. I ended up on the 4th floor of the garage before i found anything.

So...I knew all these were risks, but I was hoping not to experience them all on the 1st day here

Oh and by the way Magic Kingdom was a mess tonight. Splash Mountain was down all day and it impacted wait times on everything.

Oh...and in-room WIFI...non-existent. Thank god I packed my MiFi based on these bad experiences. But good news...my MiFi works perfectly

wifi update - it works fine when the resort appears to be dead (i.e., now at 2 p.m.).

Parking is also fine when the resort is dead

Did you override the A/C? If so, did it help any? We are staying there in March and my biggest fear is staying in a hot stuffy room

Yes. Overriding works just fine. Actually it even overrides the patio door control. So the stupid a/c won't turn off every time you open the door.

Ok....Day 3.

Pools are "OK". They are small and the bottom of the pools very very rough.

The Lazy River by Building 5 doesn't have the normal "lazy river" current. Expect to move yourself a bunch.

In Towers 5/6 just plan to park in the garage if you arrive after 7 p.m. (if not sooner)

Kids at the Pirate Pool in Tower 6 run amuck. Expect younger kids to struggle a little.

Traffic lights on Buena Vista were set-up by idiots. Expect to stop at Red Lights all the time. Could be so much better. Not the end of the world...but irritatinting.

Avoid Downtown Disney like the plague. Just not worth the headache unless you really want a headache.

Going to the Epcot Resorts is super easy. Pay the $12 for Valet and make your walk/experience a lot easier.

Watch out for IDIOT drivers. Whether US or Foreign...there are tons of them. I'm shocked there aren't reports of accidents all the time here.

The 'airtub" in our Suite allowed me to make it an extra 4 hours tonight. Use them when your feet and calfs are hurting.

What do you mean by the "airtub?" Anything that would sooth tired, aching feet would be worth it.
