The best children's birthday cakes are at the Goodings, at the Crossings near LBV ( I am not sure if that one closed/and re-opened as a new name) we haven't been since April.
They have the best Disney Themed Bright Colored Birthday cakes you will ever find, and great prices. They did not deliver, *when we needed it, so you'd need a car.
Lots of Disney Theme's to pick from!
You can also call ahead or fax the hotel you are staying to let them know it's your daughter's birthday and you can tell them your daughter's favorite character and they will put an autographed Happy Birthday card/glossy autographed and it will be waiting for you upon arrival when you check in your resort/hotel. They don't advertise this, but you can call and do this, Disney does alot and the the last nearly 18 years I have found out about a few tidbits..........
I did this for my dh last year and the year before for my ds while we were on vacation, also if you to the Magic Kingdom, on Main St Town Hall, you go and and tell Guest Relations (if you are in the park that day or the day before just as well) tell them it's her birthday and they will give you a HUGE Happy Birthday Button, they offer all the Happy Birthday buttons at all the parks.
My kids got these one year as well. Nice token and remembrance!
Hope these tips help.
