way to buy Disney GC w/ United or Marriott points?

I have a good many United Miles and Marriott points which I would love to use to buy GC to pay off my upcoming trip. I don't see Disney listed on their sites. Is there another site where you can use these points for Disney?

You can exchange the Marriott points for Lowes GCs. Check with your local Lowes to see if their GCs can be used to purchase other GCs. They often have Disney GCs.

Marriott Rewards also has Staples GCs. Sometimes Staples carries Disney GCs in their gift card area. You might be able to convert Staples GCs to Disney GCs.

I don't know anything about United, they're not a major carrier here and we don't fly with them. However, there are websites (mileage exchange, points.com) where you can sell your unwanted FF miles. You'll take a steep hit on the value of those miles, but you will get cash for them. I've never tried these, although I did become a member at points.com years ago.

While Lowes stocks Disney cards, you CANNOT use a Lowes gift card to purchase a Disney gift card. Their registers will not allow it.

The opposite is true for Staples. You can use a gift card to purchase a different third-party gift card, but I've never seen Disney gift cards stocked. I did see some sort of "Disney Music" card, but I don't think that will work.

Do you have United points or do you have them as Chase Ultimate reward points?

I have Chase points so I just ordered a Staples GC to then hopefully buy either 1) a disney card which I haven't seen at Staples 2) a visa card which will have a fee but then I can buy a disney card someplace else. It can be tricky to buy a GC with a visa GC but it can work. I've read you can buy the visa cards on the staples website. 3) Buy an amazon GC at Staples. Load the amazon GC to amazon and then transfer the money from my amazon payments account. Then I have cash to buy Disney GC or just take cash with me. You have to be careful with Amazon payments though. Don't transfer money to yourself. I transfer to my DHs account. I don't have the same last name so it has worked.

So it's not easy, it takes work but it can be done. Maybe you can buy some type of GC on the marriott site?
