Sorry Dustin, no scuba divers in our family, sorry. I hyper-ventilated when I tried to snorkel...can't seem to get that breathing under water idea through my brain.

I couldn't find the list when I started looking for it yesterday. I haven't logged on in a while. We finally got all of our flight information settled. Now we have to find hotel for before the cruise. We are coming in Thursday night and were planning on staying in Port Canvaveral (sp?)/Cocoa Beach. We are looking for a nice/cheap place to stay. We are planning on going to NASA on Friday.
Does anyone know if you can rent a car at the Orlando airport and drop it off at the Port before the cruise?

we renting our car at the airport and dropping it off at the port, thru Budget. They seemed to have the best rates, and are the closest to the port...so I am told.

Thanks SandraB!
Is anyone else going to be going a few days early? Anybody ever stayed at hotels near the port?

We're going in on tuesday night, staying at the POR. We are doing three days of parks before we get on the ship. We stayed at the Hyatt at the airport once, very nice.

Liz, we are also renting a car from Budget as well. From what I've read, they are technically close enough to the port that you can walk. But I've also read, they have a shuttle as well. I think National has an office close by but you have to pay extra for dropping off the car at a different location plus they are more expesive. We got 56 dollars a day, canadian, unlimited kilometers.

We arrive in Orlando on Friday at about noon. By the time we pick up the rental car at the airport, eat lunch, stop at Walmart (or some equivalent type place) to pick up a few supplies like pop, water, snacks and maybe some liquor and drive to the Radisson at the Port and drop off the car at the Budget at the port before it closes, that'll be it for that day. And relax for the rest of the day since we have a H $^^# flight (that leaves from our hometown Thursday).

We're doing a few days after the cruise...hopefully hitting WDW (MK and AK) and Seaworld.

How long a walk from Budget to Port?

We thought about my husband dropping us off at port, and then returning the car himself.

Can we stand in line to check in without him? Can we still get a number without him?

It still seems too far away to be real....have to get through christmas first!

Last time we used budget, they had a van to shuttle us to the port with our luggage.

Hey RDS we just moved from Vegas to Houston, we used to live in Southern Highlands.
Now only 75 days till the cruise.

How funny, we live in Southern Highlands. Has anyone booked any shore excursions or palo online yet? Just finished booking everything except the spa, still trying to figure that one out.

I thought we had to wait until the 75 days out to book.

I think that is Dec 19th??

From what I've read, if you are booked in category 8 and lower, you can book 75 days prior. Category 1-7 can book 90 days prior...am I right on that?

SandraB...I tried to find that thread about the walk from the Budget rental office. As RDS said, there is a shuttle. I'm not sure about the checking in separately. I know I saw a thread about that too.

I have a file on my computer at home, and a folder in my email Inbox, for all the info that I've learned from this site. It's getting a bit overwhelming and I'm trying not to get stressed out but I'm one of those who likes to be organized and know what to expect ahead of time...call me anal. My brother in Toronto, is coming with us as well and I'll have to tell him all my findings as well.

Cat 1-3 and reas package can book 105 days out, Repeat cruisers in all categories can book 90 days out, all others can book 75 days out.

Is Dec 19th 75 days out?

I know you have to be online at midnight...which would be 4am here...I think.

Is it 12:01 Dec 19th? or 12:01 Dec 20th?

I have a few weeks yet to figure it out!!!

Hi All!

I've been busy lately, and haven't been able to check in. Now, we're just 2 days from when we need to book our reservations - yikes!

Help!! When are you booking Palo dinner? Brunch?

Is this the rotation:

Saturday - normal
Sunday - Formal night (at sea)
Monday - normal (at sea)
Tuesday - Pirate night (St. Maarten)
Wednesday - normal (St. Thomas/St. John)
Thursday - semi formal (at sea)
Friday - best of... (castaway cay)

I'm thinking of brunch on Monday, Palo on Wed or Thur? Any other thoughts?
:confused3

Is there a big difference between brunch and dinner?

I was thinking of only doing brunch....I would like to do all the family meals together.....

Is it easier to get a brunch reservation?

Princessesrule, I thought yoy might want some more updated info to add to your list. I am from New Brunswick and have 2 kids DS(8) and DS(will turn 6 on the cruise). Less than 3 months to go. Also, you had asked if you could rent a car in Orlando and drop it off at port canaveral. The answer is yes, we are renting from budget and dropping off at the budget close to the Radisson at the port. Shelley
