Do the kids clubs only call/message the wave phone when your kiddo is ready to go? We will likely be using the navigator app so we will all have our phones. Our son is 8 and he does not have one. Will we also be required to carry the wave phone because he's in the club? I'm considering giving him an old phone or iPod and teaching him messaging through the app. Surely they'll message us using the app, right? He's a new 8 and we will likely not give him self checkout privileges.
Seriously though, I have texted clients with my business flip phone and it reminds me to be thankful for touch screens. I am impressed, however, by how quickly I fall right back in to it and just start typing away without much extra thought.
