Waterproof Lanyard?

Hi! I want to buy DH and I waterproof lanyard pouches specifically to hold our iPhones and KTTW. Most of the ones I’m seeing on Amazon mention that phones in large otter box cases have to come out to fit in the pouch. I don’t want to take my phone out of the case! Has anyone used such a lanyard that fit an iPhone with case and a card or two? If so can you please tell me which one so I can find it! TIA!

Can't answer about the iPhones, but I'll point out that you don't need a waterproof case for the KTTW cards. They're plastic and can get wet. My husband just puts his in the pocket in his swim trunks, and I use a time-honored place of concealment for us ladies.

Do you actually want a lanyard ? A phone on a lanyard will get very heavy very quickly and could lead to neck pain, among other issues.

We used ours while swimming in WDW pools at all through Typhoon Lagoon. as well as at Castaway Cay. A 9x6 aloksak holds an iphone 6 in an otterbox defender case no problem.

The lanyard option is not going to be heavy like the PP mentioned since phone are about 6 to 8 ounces. We found ours to be comfortable to wear in lanyard pouches. They don't make the ones we have anymore so I can't recommend one to you. Our is big enough to put the phone, money and ID in. But don't worry about wearing one.

We have in fact found phones to be too heavy to wear in a lanyard. They give us neck pain within a half hour. That said, YMMV.

I also recommend aquapac. Originally purchased for an Aulaini trip. Swam with my iPhone. We had heard about pilfering and were told not to leave iPhones by our chairs. What I love about it is you can text or make calls without having to remove your phone. I wear mine when at Disney because it’s easier than shoving into a pocket. We are doing a WBTA and will be bringing all three of our aquapacs. They are watertight. I like to be prepared. Will also be bringing along a battery powered phone charger. My wireless carrier has a cruise and overseas option for service for $40 for one month. I need to double check the fine writing, but sounded like a good idea.

Never experienced any neck pain.

AquaPac. I have a few different lanyard sizes for phones over the years. To fit your phone+Otterbox, I would recommend buying one of the AquaPacs for a camera and use it for your phone instead. I did that and put our passports in them as well! I love this brand and product line. I wore my phone for two weeks in Hawaii, snorkeling and swimming in the ocean and pools. Have used them for water parks and on cruise excursions.

I recommend doing the test they recommend in your kitchen sink at home — I used a plain paper napkin and wrote on it with washable marker so that I would know if there were amy leaks. I have never had a leak with any AquaPac product. Good luck!

Mine came from Amazon. I don't have an iPhone but a quick search just brought up some that say you can leave iPhone in otterbox. I didn't wear it around my neck all day only in the water, when on land I threw it in my bag. As PP stated I tested it at home. It's worth the peace of mind.

We purchased this one off Amazon. It was large enough to fit a phone with an Otter Box. I will say we never wore it in the water so I can't comment on how well it works submerged; we just used it for water rides at Universal.
