Waterproof beach bag recommendations

We have a million totes, bags and backpacks around here (lots of canvas Disney bags, of course!), but none of them are suitable for the beach.

Want to purchase a waterproof bag, that will allow us to take it into ports, and stash our towels, beach toys, etc. Want to be able to shake out the sand, and wipe it down or rinse it out from the sand.

Checked ebags and there are some, but since we are Canadian, we would have to order to our Disney resort right before the cruise, so I need some suggestions. Not many beach/swim stores around here either, and sporting good stores don't have them either. Anything for sale like this on the cruise? On our last DCL cruise, we bought a cool DCL canvas cruise, as we did on our other cruise, but they don't work well with sand.

Canvas and cotton are not good for this sort of thing at all, so any good recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Saltwater Canvas!!! Theses bags are fantastic Even Oprah uses it!!! Perfect for a cruise.....I got mine on amazon but you can go directly to site also.

I use a MixedBag and love it for the pool and beach. I get a lot of compliments on it, too. It is very lightweight, thin material, but i can put 4 beach towels, sunscreen, several waterbottles, goggles, etc in it. You just shake the sand out and it is waterproof. You can buy off their website mixedbagdesigns.com and they may list stores that carry them. The style i use is the beach tote. Mine is a couple years old and has no pockets, but the new ones have some pockets.

For a better quality bag, i love the Scout bags.

Lubber totes! I have seen these in airports and they are made out of the same material as Crocs. They are really sturdy and indestructible, a great beach bag

We got this one from LL Bean in the large size for our cruise in Februrary, and it worked perfectly. It folded completely flat for easy packing.

I just got this tote last week. It's awesome and you can't beat the clearance price! I used it last weekend and couldn't believe how much it held. The base is waterproof, so if you need to put it down around the pools, no worries. I love that it zips close.

Thanks for the GREAT tips here! I have been looking for a beach bag for 3 months! I went on www.swimoutlet.com, picked up TWO of those cheapie bags @ $7.95/each and one Saltwater Whale bag and I was able to get FREE shipping! I know three bags is a bunch, but in considering our pathetic bag situation (I have been using grocery plastic bags) and the number of times we go to the beach/pool in the summers, we'll be able to use them all. I haven't bought a beach bag in YEARS, so this will be just great. Thanks for the suggestions!

I think you will be happy with the Sporti bag. It's very well made. The whale bag looks nice too.
