Can you buy just a one-day pass at either blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon? We are going in January and only bought a 3-day MYW pass for DH, DD (5 years) and me. We plan to see how the weather is like once we are there and visiting a waterpark if the weather is nice, so we are hoping you can just buy a daypass at one of the waterparks. Does anyone know if you can do that and how much an adult pass is? Would you recommend blizzard, typhoon, or something nondisney, like wet n wild?

Oh yes, for our 3-days we were thinking 2 days at Magic kingdom and 1 day at animal kingdom. Our DD is 5 and it is our first time, so we thought she's too young for epcot and HS. Am I totally wrong in this thinking? BTW we don't have the parkhopper option.

If you are only planning to have one water park or Disney Quest day you are much better off purchasing separate tickets.

If you buy the Water Parks Fun and More option to your MYW ticket it will cost $53.25 (including tax) per person, adult or child. It will add one WPF&M entry per day on the base or hopper ticket (but two entries on a one day ticket).

If you purchase one day water park or Disney Quest tickets they cost $42.60 adult and $36.21 child.

This upgrade may be done at any Park (including water parks or TTC) ticket booth or Guest Relations Office. If it is on your room key it can also be done at the Resort Lobby Concierge.

(Note each person must have their own ticket. Even though it adds multiple entries to your ticket, you can only use one ticket for one person.)

We keep the water in all the slides and pools around 80F (27C) except for Shark Reef which does not have filters, pumps or heaters. What you want is a day that will be bright and sunny and preferably not windy.

If you go on a day that is heavily overcast you will not be able to take advantage of any radiant heating (from the sun) or on a windy day (especially with a dry wind from the North) you will get hit by wind chill.

But a day with the highs in the mid-50s or above which is sunny and calm most people (at least from Northern climates) should be comfortable.

Also, Typhoon is closed for major rehab during the entire month of January, so Blizzard would be your only choice. I would not recommend Wet and Wild; it is a "standard" water park, basically with slides and all structure showing and no landscaping. The Disney water parks are themed and most of the structure is hidden and they are very well landscaped and more comfortable.

You can definitely buy just a one day pass to either of the water parks. Our family really enjoyed Typhoon Lagoon. Spent five hours there and had a blast. We did utilize EMH there and were there abour 15 minutes after it opened for the EMH. We were able to see and do everything except for Cowabunga Humongua within those five hours and that wasn't something we planned on doing any way. Some of the slides we did over and over again. We even swam with the sharks! By the time we left, the park was getting pretty busy so we went back to our resort, changed clothes and went shopping at Downtown Disney.

Thanks cheshire, your info is very helpful. So, let me see if I am understanding correctly... you are saying we can take our 3day MYW ticket to any park (or BB) and add on a one-day BB pass for $46 ish (can't remember exact $ you said). i.e. on the day we want to go to BB, we just bring our MYW card and can purchase BB pass for the day for $46???
