I know it is not a popular dining destination- but our family will need to eat a CS meal at Typhoon Lagoon. I have checked the picture thread, but all I found was the Garbage pail Sundae.

Can someone give me the good and not-so-good fare at the waterparks?

Thanks!

Blizzard Beach has a great food area called "Lottawatta Lodge".

We're always on the Dining Plan & there is more than enough food here to use with your counter-service credits...even pizza for my DS9!! We also get an ice-cream dessert with our meals.

Everytime we go we always end up giving away some ice-cream bars to another family because we have WAYYYY too much. We just did this a month ago.

Leaning Palms and Typhoon Tillies have similar menus. Check them out at allearsnet.com .
I had the chicken wrap and it was fine and the pizzas were standard. You tell them to hold your ice cream and you can come back later to get it with either your receipt or a token.

How did you get pizza for DS9?:confused3 I don't see it on the kids menu.

At these CS places, they don't distinguish between kid's credits & adult's.
Everytime we've been there, the cast members have seen DS & they let him get pizza.

Not to so with water parks or anything but thats a lot of people going on the same trip as you! :P The Poly huh. Not Bad choice not been there my self (yet) but i've heard some good stuff about it! Enjoy you'r first trip when it comes maybe a trip report will come 2? =]!

Not so sure on that one. My son (he was 13 at the time) wanted to get a Grilled Cheese Pretzel at Leaning Palms (and that is a kid's meal). The first time he was able to get one. When he went back again because he was till hungry (and we had the credits), they wouldn't give him one, even with the adult credit.

Leaning Palms usually has the grilled cheese pretzel for kids, hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, for adults. Other things, but I don't remember them all.

Allearsnet shows a child's menu but it doesn't mention child's ice cream dessert. But it sounds like ice cream is a go for the child's dessert! This will save us a snack credit!

Best thing at the waterparks, hands down:

MINI DONUTS!!! Not on the dining plan, but they are hot, sugary and worth every stinking fat gram and carb!

Now back to your child v. adult cs credit chat...

Oh, yeah!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
And if you are lucky, you get the entire bag eaten before hubby and the kids get off the slides.

Mini donuts, right up there with the Funnel Cakes mmmmm. We usually manage to sink a bag before 9.30am.

Back to the original question, Lottawatta Lodge at BB is usually pretty good.

It goes like this:

Me: "You kids go have yourselves a heap of fun while mommy drags all the valuables way back to the entrance to get a locker. You just enjoy yourselves and don't worry about making it back to the chaise lounges until 1 or 2 pm! Love ya!!!"

DD18: "Let's go to the shark tank!"

DD13: "That was way too easy. Do you think she's trying to get rid of us?"

:rotfl:

Oh NO! I didn't realise that this wasn't a part of the DDP! I looked and none of the fun snack carts are.:sad2: Note to self...add more money to the budget for water park snacks...I HAVE to try the mini donuts...I have read so much about them...what is the deal with the dipping sauce? No one ever mentions it, but I read it on the menu. Do tell.popcorn::

How come the mini doughnuts aren't included??? My DH and one twin are the doughnut kings.

They only take cash or traveller's checks at this stand. There are a few at the water parks that do not take room IDs, DDP, etc.

We really like the Chicken Wrap at Leaning Palms at Typhoon Lagoon. The BBQ pork sandwich is very good at Typhoon Tilly's. A can't miss are the mini-donuts at both TL & BB!!

Dipping sauce just slows you down. :lmao:

Sure, everyone gets it once... but just plain sugar or cinnamon sugar are the best.
