Are there any towels at the waterparks or should we bring our own?? If we are not there at the opening, is it posssible to get a chair? What is the open swim area at TL like with the Rays and sharks?

Thanks

Hi,
I don't remember about the towels. We usually just bring our own. So maybe someone else might be able to answer that for you.

Yes, you can get chairs after the park opens. But they're most likely not going to be in the shade or close by the water.

From what I remember about the Shark and Ray swim area was more like a tank. I believe it had a viewing window on the side where you can have people watch you swim. But it's not really an open swim, you still have to wait in line and I believe they made us change into a wet suit vest.

Towels -- you can rent towels at the main store at TL.

Chairs -- if you like shade or care about where you sit, I would get there within the first hour or so.

Snorkelling -- the shark area is really great. It is a small "pool" with really cold water (it's at fish temp, not human temp). You go to the area, get your snorkel and mask, proceed to the pool where a lifeguard will go through some basics with you, and then you're off. They dont allow people to hang out in there for a while, though. It's over pretty quickly, but definitly worth doing!

there are no age restrictions. They provide lifejackets, if you want, for those that aren't strong swimmers.

I do believe that under 10 need to be accompanied by an adult and they need to be comfortable in the water.

While you can rent towels at the waterparks, you can also bring the towels from the Disney hotels and leave them at the waterparks.

We always stock up on towels from down by the hotel pool the night before we go to waterparks, then leave them in the waterparks dirty towel receptacle when leaving. Saves a few dollars over renting towels in the parks.
