i am booked to visit disney in march 07 is it wise to buy tickets for the waterparks in advance,i know the weather charts show average temps but would like some opinions from people who have been at this time,i travel 10th to 24th thanks for any help there are 7 people going and i am paying GULP! also give me your opinion is wet and wild best or typhoon lagoon so many people giving me second hand advise would appreciate your personal choices, thanks

Been in February, March and April, every time we have visited the water parks. That time of year however you will find it cold if there is a wind. The locals only go in the afternoon if at all, so which ever park is open you will vitually have to yourself till lunchtime.

I think it depends, last March we had everything, sunny days/rainy days and chilly days.

People were buying fleeces and jumpers at the parks in the morning and we found the water at Discovery Cove freezing.

To be honest the average is around 80 degrees, but it struggled to reach 70 many days last year.
However, I think we were just unlucky and normally the weather would be better.

Unless your water park tickets are included in your theme park one's, for example our Magic Your Way tickets come with 5 WP one's, then I would strongly advise you just buy single day tickets when you get out there - this way you can pick which days you go.

Please also don't get the wrong impression - I came back with a great tan last March so we definitely had some lovely hot weather, just it can be a bit changeable and cool in the morning at times.

As for which one to go to it really depends on what you are looking for.

Wet & Wild has some great thrill slides but the atmosphere & themeing cannot compare with the Disney water parks.

Wet & Wild is a bit like IOA, Great for thrill seekers but not so much for just lounging around soaking up the sun.

I'd wait till you get there & see how warm it is.

Love Typhoon Lagoon but never wanted to visit Wet & Wild, we don't like the fact that it's right next to a busy main road.

We managed Typhoon Lagoon towards the end of March and were hoping to visit Blizzard Beach in April but the weather was too cold :sad2:

I agree.. weve been in March when it is definitely hot enough.. and in May when its been WAY to cold! (but that was really unusual)...
I suspect you will be ok... !

... that you don't know is there until you climb to the top of a slide. You're missing a lot TBH, there are some great water slides at W'n'W that are as good as, if not better, then their Disney counterparts.

We went to WDW for the 2 weeks leading up to Easter in 2005 and had record rainfall for March during the 1st week. The second week was better, and plenty hot enough if you're used to UK temps AND have just come from a UK winter! My sister was there the week after we came back and said it was baking! I think I'd opt for the add-on to the magic your way ticket :Pinkbounc

Last year there was more wind and we did think it might be chilly in the water parks, though there were people in WetnWild whenever we walked past.
This year(the same dates) was hot, and I think you could have gone on any day. We did go once and it was lovely.

some very good advice and insight from you all,it seems a very hit and miss time with warm to hot weather in march so either get a magic your way add on or buy when there seems a good option, the cheapest magic your way tickets i have found come from a site called park tickets has anyone else used this site and have you found cheaper, you all seem very clued up on everything disney advise is great keep it coming :thumbsup2

dont discount blizzard beach unless there is a really good reason you dont want to do it....it has great theming, some thrill rides and some not so thrill rides, as well as beach space and your usual refillable mugs, souvenir points, and all of that Disney magic we love
