Can anyone tell me about their experience @ Typhoon lagoon during the end of Feb and early March? I mean in terms of...water temp...crowds? I am kicking around going back to Island of Adventure/Universal or Disney Waterparks? Any recommendations? Also...can u add waterparks, I've already gotten my WDW tickets.
Thanks :earsboy:

Hello,

We went to Typhoon Lagoon twice in early March 2002 and we also went to Blizzard Beach twice in early March 2005 because TL was closed for refurbishment.

There was a big difference in the weather between the 2 years, with much better and more settled weather and humidity in 2002.

The water temperature was fine as the water in the parks is heated, the only problem you may have is if you go on a day with relatively low humidity whereby you feel lovely and warm in the water but cool when you come out of the water even though the actual air temperature may be high enough for you to feel very hot when dry eg high 70's low 80's. If the air is humid it won't be a problem as explained by The Weather Channel while we were at WDW in 2002.

In 2002 the crowds were low everywhere because people weren't travelling post 9/11, in 2005 at BB we found our first visit was quite busy but mainly with visitors from the UK like ourselves as the first time we went was a lovely hot day with quite high humidity and weather like that is hard to come by for us even in the summer.
The second time we went was much quieter and cooler with a top temperature of 72F but not much humidity and a strong cool breeze. Sheltered and in the sunshine of the afternoon it was nice, but a little on the cool side when you were wet. The water itself was no different on either day as it is heated to the same temperature at all times (something like 83F in the main pool and 86F in the kiddies pool).

Its really a case of how hardy you are and also keeping an eye on the weather forecast paying particular attention to the humidity levels.
