We are trying the waterparks for the first time this year and decided to splurge on getting a cabana for the day. I know there are attendants to help answer questions, help get food, towels, etc. My question is, at the end of the day, for good service, what is the proper amount to leave for a tip? We have never tried anything like this before , so we are totally clueless as what a proper tip would be. Any help would be appreciated. If anyone has done this, what kind of tip did you leave? TIA

If the attendant brings food I think I'd do the usual 10-20% for all food orders. If not I'd probably tip like a bellhop and do $5-$10 (or more depending on how much I made use of their services).

Confession - I rented a cabana and didn't tip. Not because she didn't deserve it but because her MagicBand scanner was down and I had only brought the MagicBand with me for charges so she kept taking my magic band to charge the food (and my PIN which was a little disconcerning) but never brought anything back for me to counter sign/tip and I had nothing else to pay her with.

Thanks Skywise. I was thinking along the same line as you with tipping for the food, but wasn't too sure about how to go about the rest of the services. The bellhop idea makes sense. I'll keep that in mind.

Anyone else have any experience with the cabana attendants?

Thanks for posting the question, as we're headed to Typhoon Lagoon in a couple of weeks and I've reserved a cabaña for the day and was wondering about tips.

Is it the same CM who will be our attendant for the whole day, or are there several that kind of roam the area? In other words, if I want to tip in cash at the end of the day, can I get away with a couple of larger bills, or will I need several smaller denominations to dole out?

Skent10, I don't have a good answer to give you. I asked my travel agent, and the only info I got back was that we would have one or two attendants helping us throughout the day, and that we could tip whatever we felt like at the end of our day there.

Pretty vague info. That's why I am hoping for a few more waterpark vets to chime in and let us know their experience in this situation.

We had one attendant for the whole day. He was great. He interacted with the kids, got drinks and towels and food. There were two families and between the two of us we gave him $50. He also chatted us up and entertained us during an afternoon rainstorm. We were going to leave but he encouraged us to wait it out (it was comfortable and dry in our cabana) so we got another hour in a practically empty park after the storm. Most people rushed out when the storm came. We probably would have if we didn't have our cabana.
