I'm wondering what the water temp in like in the volcano pool at the Poly? I know the pool is supposed to be heated, but a friend of mine went last May and said the water was freezing cold- could the heater have be broken or are the pool heaters just not turned up high....or is she just a whimp :)

We are going mid september.

Thanks!

We were there in early May and the water temp was fine.

The Volcano Pool was at a comfortable temperature while the Quiet Pool was too hot IMO. :)

Exactly! The quiet pool was like bath water. It does have quite the sun exposure through the day, which may contribute to the temperature.

My sister said she wished they would have dumped a load of ice cubes in the pool!!

That's exactly what my DS 10 said! :)

With the exception of the AKL last December, every single pool at WDW is too warm for my taste.

Pool temp is different for different people...and varies by climate, too. Northerners will feel warmer than southerners almost always. And people who are active swimmers will usually prefer a cool pool while people who just go to splash around will want it a little warmer.

There is no pleasing everyone, I guess. But WDW keeps it right in the middle. Too cold, I think, for folks with arthritis...but warm enough for most...and too warm for me. :)
