Water Temp at CC in Feb.

We were there 2/3/04 (and we're going back next Feb) and the water temp was comfortable. We're from Maryland, so it felt great to us. My kids spent the whole day in the water. The only time they came out was to hit Cookies for lunch!

We were there last January. We found the water at CC to be much warmer there in jan, than it is here in NY in the summer. We had alot of fun swimming and lounging around in the water.

We were there in March and the water temp was 69. So was the air temp. Nobody went in the water. I was under the impression that it was unusually cold.::yes::

We were there on the 1-3-04 to 1-10-04 cruise and we felt that the water was too cold. I couldn't even go in. My DS 10 tried for awhile, but his teeth were chattering and he coulnd't take it for long. We did have fun playing on the beach and sunning, but honestly the water was cold!!! Note - we are from Arizona so that may have something to do with our impression. We still had a fun time at CC and didn't want to leave!

We sailed last Presidents weekend and it was FREEZING! The water and air temp were cold. The pool was cold and Nassua was a total loss with the winds and cold water. We will never cruise between Jan and mid-March again. The only warm water we found was in the pool near the jets.

We sailed in Feb. '03 on the DVC Member Cruise that went to CC twice. We thought the water was a little too cold for our liking. A lot of people went in, but more didn't. Of course part of it was we would be back in May and knew the weather would be better then.

We've been to CC in early March 3 times. Each time, while the air temp was very pleasant (low 80's), the water was cool (low 70's.) Our daughter swam each time, but DH and I only waded. We found the water temperature in the ship's pools, however, to be very pleasant (low 80's.)

We were there 02/07/04 and while DH & DSs did go in the water, it was way too cold for me. They said it was similar to our ocean water which is 68-70 in the summer. We took wetsuits for DSs since they wear them here but they did not use them in the water. CC seemed quite a bit colder than St. Maarten or St. Thomas. We were at CC in July of 2002 also and the water was about 90 degrees, a huge difference from February.

For us here in Florida with the Thin Blood it is BRRRRRR in Feb. but you will probably think it is GRRRRReat:smooth: Have funn

Wow, we were on the 12-27-03 to 1-3-04 cruise, and other than light rain, the air and water temperature at Castaway Cay were perfect, not too hot, not too cold, and my wife is ALWAYS cold.
