What is the weather like in December? Is it still warm enough to ride splash mountain, kali river Rapids and rides like those

We've been in early December. One year it was warm enough (70's) - we were living in Chicago at the time and it was a heatwave for us! Another year we were in mittens and coats. Go figure. But if it's too cold I believe they don't even run those rides.

That's true if it gets to a certain temp they do shut them down

Weather varies a lot so maybe?? We went mid-November once and we rode Splash during the day, but once the sun went down it cooled off a lot and even though there was no line we did not want to risk getting wet so skipped it.

I have never seen splash closed due to cold. We were there one year and it was in the 50s and was open. This January mid month temps were low to mid 80s. So it changes frequently in winter months.

Maybe. We were at Disney 12/21-12/27 this year. It was cold and drizzly/rainy the entire time except on Christmas Day, mostly upper 50s and raw. Only wore my capris once- definitely jeans weather. A month later it was in the 80s. So maybe...

We rode Splash when it was 50 degrees, and they had the extra water turned down so low we did not even get wet. YMMV, but it is my understanding that they routinely minimize the splashing when it is cold(er).

There is no way to predict the weather in December. It might be 40°, it might be 80°, and you may have both in the same trip

I’m not sure if the exact dates, but Kali has a yearly scheduled refurb during winter months. Twice I’ve come on Spring Break and missed it opening back up.

I feel like Kali is always closed in the winter? We usually go at the end of January and it's always closed. The only time we've ever ridden it is the one year when we went in April. Splash is always open and I've never seen it closed for cold weather and our trip last January was pretty chilly!

Kali is worse than Splash Mountain splash wise. If you are afraid of getting wet on Splash, just wear a poncho. When I was there in December highs were around 70. A little bit cold for swimming IMO but fine for riding Splash Mountain. I'd ride even if it was cold and just protect myself from getting wet. Most times you don't get that wet anyway in my experience.
