Hi-have arranged our plans for our forthcoming trip to florida but need some advise regarding the water parks. We are only going to be able to visit one park and dont know whether to go to Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon-we have 2 children aged 4 and 8 with us so obviously the parks gotta suit them as well. Many thanks in advance

My kids are older but they prefer Blizzard Beach everytime.

it does have a very good playground for younger kids.

My DD aged 12 found the waves at Typhoon Lagoon too intense.

Not sure if this of any help.

I have been to the water parks on a few occasions and my opinion is that Typhoon Lagoon wins hands down every time. Last time couple of times we went the kids 4 and 6 enjoyed the Lagoon far more than the Beach. Their are more rides at the Beach but the Lagoon is much more laid back and the kids will love the small sanded area just of the main pool. They can play to their hearts content in this area building sand castles or whatever. There is also a nice kids area.:smooth:

Hi

When are you going.

I seem to remember when I visited the Disney website that B Beach is closed for a referb at the end of October and November.

If I am wrong can anyone please let us know

We are also going around this time so do not have a choice looks like it will be T Lagoon.

All the best :wave2:

i would def go for tl, the waves at the start are just like going into the sea and then gently graduating i found the bb pool a bit small and also found it difficult to keep the kids out of the deep end, i.e they didn't realise how deep it was with the added waves
i hope this makes sense and advice helps

I prefer TL too, though I have to say the choice is marginal really.

Like someone else said, TL is a bit more laid back I think (I love the main pool when the wave machine is on...even if I'm not it in...just hearing that big boom and the screams of anticipation that ripples around the whole place - always makes me smile), BB...the water slides are a bit more white knuckle.

Gotta be TL all the way with me! they both have a lot to offer though its a shame you can't get to do both :(

It's a hard choice - I think I prefer the theming at TL but you'll enjoy either. DO get there before the park opens and once they let you in, go through and select your base and get your loungers first!
One thing I would say, at BB you get continuous gentle waves- the wave machine at TL does not operate all the time and when it does I'd describe the wave more like a wall of water and when my younger son was four and was wading in the shallow area, he was knocked over by the wave as it came ashore. We soon backed him out so that he was just ankle deep whilst the waves came in but the non-slip floor they have can sting if you land hard enough! So when Miss Tilly blows her horn (!) to signify the start of the waves, keep an eye on your youngest!

Aother vote for TL our fav's are the lazy river and swimming with the shark's.
