Water parks

Hi!
First, I have to say I love your name Elizabethxoxo! Maybe I am biased being named Elizabeth, too.

I want to share with you some ideas for dinner (still need ADRs) after the water parks:

  • Disney Springs Restaurants
  • Boardwalk Restaurants
  • Resort Restaurants
We are going to Beaches and Cream at 7:30pm after our day at Blizzard Beach and Morimoto Asia after Typhoon Lagoon.

Also, our last day of our 10 days in the parks we are doing lunch with an Animal Expert at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian, and dinner at the Boardwalk. We could have gone back to the parks, but I wanted to experience these things, too!

I hear you can rent lockers and towels at the waterparks.

We are planning on going to Blizzard Beach on our last day, and will need to be back to POFQ for our Magical Express pick up around 4 p.m., so will leave BB around 2:30.

are there generally taxis hanging out at the water parks so we can hop in one instead of waiting for the bus?

We spend a full day easy. We plan on arriving at rope drop and then stay, relaxing until 4 or so and back to our DVC to clean up and off to dinner. We often plan the HDDR for water park day dinner.

Enjoy!

Also with the waterparks and more option you can visit 2 parks in the same day and it would count as 2 visits.

Thoughts:
It seems to make more sense to go the theme parks in the morning because around rope drop there are less crowds and the parks open earlier.

It might be nice to cool off in water in the afternoon as long as it doesn't rain.

How much time should I really give Typhoon lagoon and blizzard beach? Is 4 hours at each waterpark enough?

My family can easily spend the whole day at the waterpatk. Actually, my family could spend an entire day in the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon. I could spend the whole day just floating around the lazy river. However, we also enjoy all the slides/rides as well!

In the summer, my recommendation is that you get to the water parks at opening. It will be easier yo find beach chairs where you'd like to sit. The lines for the rides won't be as long, and you can get several of them done. When the park starts to fill up, you can hang in the wave pool or the lazy river because you don't need to worry about lines. In Florida, there are often afternoon thunderstorms that will last 1/2 hour or so, and then after the lightening has passed, they need to wait 1/2 hour before allowing people back in the water. If youdont arrive to the park until noon, and there is a storm at 2:00 that lasts until 2:30-2:45, and you can't get back into water until 3:15 or 3:30, and the park closes at 5:00, you've spent most of your waterpatk time waiting out a short storm. But if you are there at 10:00, you can leave at 2:30 feeling like you had a good amount of time there, then head back to your room to change and get ready for an evening ADR, Wishes, Fantasmic, etc.

You can definitely make the water parks an all day experience. I'd probably only choose one though, and on your other day just relax at the pool, go to Disney Springs, etc. If you do think you'll stay all day, I wouldn't plan anything to do after the water park closes. We are usually too tired to do anything else and call it an early evening.

I'm pretty sure I could float in the lazy river for hours and never get bored. It's so relaxing.
