We've been to WDW more times than I can count but we've never been to the water parks.

Our kids are 6 and 4 but neither can swim well yet. Are there things they can do there that will make the price of admission worth it?

Which park would be best?

Thanks in advance for any help.

While TL is my favorite, if I had small children, I would go to BB. The wave pool isn't as rough, there is an entire area there called "Tikes Peak" geared to kids. There is a family raft ride that is lots of fun.

Blizzard Beach might be a good choice since they have a number of slides with double tubes. You can go down the slide with your child, then help them off the tube in the splashdown area. The family raft ride there is also better and longer than at Typhoon Lagoon.

TL has double and triple tubes at Crush n Gusher, but we noticed a tendency to tip over at splashdown, which would not be ideal. That said, you can get life vests at either park and avoid any real problems. If the children don't mind their heads going under water, the life vests will keep them from any real danger.

I agree with the other posts about BB, however at that age they would probably enjoy the pool at your resort as much--especially if you are at a mod. or deluxe

We have 2 kids (6 & 5) and have been to both. My favorite for them is BB - I find the kids area fairly well laid out. They have 2 tube slides where the kids grab a tube, a cast member helps them at the top and another cast member grabs them as they come off the slide and guides them to the exit , or helps them out. They also have a small area at the top of these slides for really small kids (but my kids went last year) where the body slides are only about 4-6 feet long. The kids love these! They also have 4 (I think) straight body slides in this same area that are about 20 feet long. They exit into 1 foot deep water.
Sometimes both parks aren't open and you just have to go with what's open, but if I had a choice, it would be BB

Thanks for the input everyone. That's what I love about the DIS!!

Good point. Maybe we'll just wait one more year.

I also have 2 non swimmers (although DS7 is getting pretty good at it!) and when we went to BB last October, we had a ball. They went on everything except the big slides. I was surprised with the slides that use inner tubes that the tubes stayed upright when they came down and hit the water. What you need to do is have one adult go down first, then send the kids down the same slide with the adult waiting at the bottom. Actually, there were a lot of things that didn't require direct "hands on" supervision. The kiddie area is great, they have their own tuble slide.

Don't pass it up just because your kids are small. you can definitely make a day of it, and you and your DH can play tag team to go and visit Summit Plummit, if you so desire.. Hang on to your swimsuit!!

My 2 1/2 yo dd and almost 5 yo ds LOVED the water parks during our May visit. They could have spent the week at just the water parks and been completely happy...and we belong to a swim club at home that has a wave pool, slides, etc. Go figure!
