For our upcoming trip, the Water Parks are open from 9:00 until 7:00. We normally go in the morning and then leave around 2:00. I was thinking about going in the afternoon this time because the water parks are open later. When do people typically leave (2:00 like us?)? Has anyone used an afternoon visit strategy before? Is it always less crowded in the morning or are there down times in the afternoon?

Thanks!

You are correct, most people tend to get there early and leave early. I would assume that you would find it a great time to go in the early afternoon.

Have fun!

You may actually run into the park being closed due to capacity. This does happen as the day goes on, and friends were not able to enter BB last year due to this.

We haven't been during Easter time, but in the summer the waterparks were often full to capacity before 11 AM, but reopened between 2 and 3. Of course, in the summer, we also had to deal with those nasty afternoon thunder showers, which shouldn't be a problem for you.

going to the water parks in the afternoon has always been our strategy....you shouldn't have to worry about the water parks being closed for capacity in the afternoon....historically, when the parks do close for capacity, it's usually between 11am-2pm...we like to show up around 3pm as it seems many people start to leave to get ready for evening plans and such....we were there over easter week in 2003 and the water parks did close most days by about 11am and were reopened by about 2pm....

so youd only go for 2hrs? 3-5?
do you still feel you get your money's worth?
Id have to show up by 1 and stay till 5 if it was me - at least 1/2 day

that works for us because we are PAP holders....we are also there in june when the water parks stay open until 7 or 7:30pm, so, we are actually getting 4-4.5 hrs in the water parks each visit which is plenty for us....also, with the crowds thinning out in the late afternoon, we get in as many slides(and probably more) during that 3-4 hours as we would figthing the long lines during the heat of the day....

We have gone 3 to 5 twice, and it works out perfectly for us. You will get a great parking space if you drive, and no it is not crowded that time of day. The lockers are cheap after 3, and tickets can be purchased cheaper for after 3, but I don't know the details. No lines at the slides, so you will not waste time there. Then at five, we leave leisurely to avoid the locker key return crowds.

My youngest was three and would not have been happy to stay all day, anyway.
