Water Parks EMH question

We are leaving in a couple of weeks to go to WDW. We are staying off-site this time and I noticed that there are EMH for BB and TL everyday during the month.

We usually like to get to the waterparks early to grab a spot in the kiddie area (Tike's Peak) under one of the picnic shelters. Do you all think that with EMH we are going to miss out on our favorite spot?

I am also looking for other suggestions on a good place to sit. Our kids are a little more adventurous now (we will have a DS6, DS3, and our friend's DD5) but I am sure our DS3 will still want to do some things in Tike's Peak. We are looking for shade to get out of the sun for a while but would like to be convenient to Tike's Peak, the wave pool, and the older kids' section.

Any suggestions appreciated!

I was also wondering how the EMH is working out at the water parks.
Do they check a resort key? Are the morning crowds better or worse?
This actually messes up my schedule. I was going to go straight to BB because I know that my room won't be ready that early. (we are going to Universal first) I'll have to plan on going later in the week.

I don't know when WDW started EMH at the water parks, but when we were there 2 years ago and staying off-site, we got there for the 9 am opening and saw very few people already staking out spots. We are going again this year and staying at Pop Century and I plan on being there for EMH although i don't know if the rest of family will be joining me!
