water parks and slides

Am aware a lot with physical issues can`t ride or do not want to, or are able get up the steps

are there an restrictions on slides.Im in a wheelchair but can use arms and backside to get up the steps .did at centre parcs new ride .

Will they allow me to ride if can get self up there.Physically my upper body is strong and can swim

I'm aware i am fortunate that I have the strength in my arms to be able to-do this as its only my legs that don`t work and not possible for all people in wheelchairs, then i drag self along landings on my backside.

I have no problems with my back since never did before the accident and nothing since unless you count lack of ability to walk

Not sure about Disney but the last time we went to wet and wild we were forbidden from using the slides unless my daughter could walk up them unassisted. Even though we could have carried her. They also charged us full price for her. Before you go get it in writing that you will be allowed to use the slides and take that writing with you!

Just in case helps anyone else I did email as suggested ty.

but have heard back from wdw re their water parks as these only ones we are planning on doing .This may help anyone else with same issues

We have chair lifts at Disney's
Blizzard Beach Water Park that transport our Guests to the top of our
mountain at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park to access all of our
slides from there. Also, at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park we have
the Crush 'N' Gusher roller coaster water slide that you will be able to
access by elevator. The slides that would require the use of steps, if
you're able to get up the steps without any trouble then you are more
than welcome to access those slides as well. We accompany all of our
Guests here at the Walt Disney World® Resort no matter of any type of
disability. In the end we are all the same and should be treated as
such.

They said re the step slides if I can get up without any assistance how ever I do then i can ride them

Now super excited that I be ale to do with my 10 year old daughter

I think there is a typo in their reply yo you.
It says they will accompany all their guests, but should be accommodate.

Dude, this 44 year old, somewhat in shape, mom of 2, practically dies walking up all those stairs. The knees ain't what they used to be. And I'm not alone.

If you can get up those stairs on your hand / arms then I simultaneously cry for my pathetic self and cheer at your rockstar-ness.
