Since we had to upgrade tickets to get free dining we went with the wpm option. We were already planning a visit to disney quest so that works out good. This will be our first time to take our almost 8 yo at time of the trip to a water park any advice?

1. What to bring?
2.what do you do with your stuff while you are riding things?
3.can you wear water shoes on rides?
4. How long do you use allot for the water parks and what time of day do you like to go?
5. will one day each be enough on an 8 day trip?
6. Last but most importantly any food or adult beverages that are a must try at either park :) ?

1. Sunscreen. A towel.
2. We put our phones and keys in a locker. We just kept everything else in our chairs.
3 Yes.
4. We were there at opening and were done in less than 4 hours for each park. It was the first few days in June and the water parks were empty in the mornings.
5. I think so.
6. The mini donuts are really good.

If your kids are anything like mine, plan on at least 2 days at the WPs! We'll be there 2.5 days of our 11 day upcoming trip. Our usual WP days consist of arrive 30 minutes prior to park opening and staying about 6 hours. For our 1/2 day, we'll be repeating our favorites at Blizzard Beach. We'll get there prior to rope drop and leave about 3 hours laters.

Enjoy! My kids rate Blizzard Beach their favorite Disney park!

We are excited. We have talked before about doing Waterpark but never thought he was big enough to really enjoy them. I think he will like them this time.

We lock our valuables in a locker, that's a must!

We bring our own towels and water bottles. Usually we arrive all sunscreened up and in our suits ready to grab chairs and head to the slides.

Bring an extra set of dry clothes you can change into for the bus/car ride back, much more comfortable.

We always arrive at park opening, another must for us. Usually we do slides/lazy river in the morning before it is too crowded. Lunch then wave pool and sunning in the afternoon. We have done TL more times than BB, just our preference. We usually leave by 3-3:30 to head back to the hotel, clean up and head out for a park evening. It is a great plan because you can make your 3 FP+s for what ever park you are headed to. :thumbsup2

I like to bring my own beach towel and not go home wet, so I bring a change of clothes. They of course do sell sunscreen at the water park but you can bring your own. They can check your bag, but half the time nobody does from my experience. I could spend all day at one park but my son is half fish. Find a nice shaded chair and take a break when you get tired. I don't think the cabana is worth it but to each their own.

Some of the slides do not allow you to wear water shoes. You can take them off and hold them while going down the slides though. I shouldn't admit it, but I usually keep all my stuff in a beach bag on a chair. I have never had a problem, but if you are worried, just get a locker. You pay for the day and can go back to it as often as you like. They have different size lockers. It depends on how much you have an are willing to spend. I like to have a water wallet I keep in a Velcroed pocket, they sell them at the water park for like 5-8 dollars.

It is less crowded in the morning on weekdays. While you can't really plan for it, if you have an afternoon where it rains with no lightning, it is great to be there. The place will empty out and it is like you have the place to yourself. If there is lightning, they get everyone out and you have to wait for the lightning to be 5 miles away before you can go back in.

Nothing special about any of the food. If you are at PL, you can go across to DTD and eat too. The mini doughnuts are what my son likes as was mentioned.

Typhoon Lagoon is our favorite! But if you have time check them both out.

We love the sand pail in TL. It's a huge ice cream thing in a sand bucket. It's awesome!

We rented a locker to keep our stuff in at the water parks. My best advice is you can use your receipt to get another locker at the parks with only the $5 deposit (which you get back after). One day we park hopped to Blizzard Beach, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. We used 4 lockers for the price of 1!
