Water park questions

So we are getting close to our first trip,(june 22 to July 1 I have an eight year old who really wants to go to the water parks...
a couple of questions.
1)if only one, which one...
2) How early does one have to get there?
3) I have heard that it closes if too full. Does this apply to resort guests as well?(I think I read this somewhere...it"s not that I would assume some arrogant thing like this...but maybe..)

1.) That's personal choice. Blizzard Beach is a water park geared more towards those who like thrill rides. Typhoon Lagoon is somewhat more relaxing. My personal vote is for Typhoon Lagoon.

2.) If you're going in peak season, I'd get there a half hour before posted opening time.

3.) Yes. If the water park hits capacity, it closes. Doesn't matter if you're a resort guest or not. (I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works)

You will have a blast at either, but my 9-year-old DD says Blizzard Beach! More thrilling
I recommend getting there by 10am, earlier if you can. Get a locker that is convenient to where you get a chair...
The water parks are TONS of fun!! Enjoy.

We will be at the World the same time June 25 - July 2nd and we go mostly around this time each year.

We hit the parks early then mid day hit the waterparks only once do I remember getting shut out.But if your concerned and are on-sight they both have EMH for the entire month so thats 8:00am opening .

I would also suggest TL as it have a more rounded assortment of things .Crush 'n' Gusher

My fiancee and I enjoy both but we prefer TL due to the scenery. BB is kind of dull looking. TL has a very tropical feel to it. Also Crush n' Gusher is awesome! That time of year you should get there early. I've personally have not seen it close due to capacity. Wear lots of sunscreen, this florida summer sun is brutal. Lots of red lobsters all over the place. Enjoy the trip

My son is 7 and he likes them both. If he had a choice, he would go to BB because of the kids area. There are floating icebergs which the kids use to cross the pool and there is a zip line if you are under 60 inches. He also likes Summit Plummet, which is a wicked steep water slide,and Teamboat Springs which is a family raft ride (lots of fun!). The other posters are right in that TL has better scenery and more shade. BB is concrete icebergs and mountains with a few chalets thrown in. We wear water shoes to walk around these water parks because the paths can get very hot. (Note: you will have to remove shoes to ride a few of the slides)

To answer your question:
1. Blizzard Beach--get online and read the info on it.
2. Get there when it opens
3. Yes, they do close when it get too full, but just go when they open and you'll be fine. Besides, the water parks close earlier than the rest of the parks at about 1700 so you'll want to go early and enjoy the most time you can there.
