Water park option on Canadian tickets

I want to make sure I understand the water park option for the Canadian resident tickets.

If I have a 5 day hopper/water park ticket, does that mean I have a total of 5 visits to a park (regular or water)? Or does that mean I can go to Epcot Mon-Fri and then hit the water parks Sat and Sun? The description on the website is not at all clear.

I’m hoping it’s the latter, of course! If anyone has purchased and used these tickets I’d appreciate hearing about your experience. I’ll also call guest services, but their answers can be hit or miss.

The 5 Day Canadian ticket - just like a regular water parks "and more" ticket allows you five days worth of visits to the 4 major theme parks PLUS 5 entries into any of the "More" options. This means with the base ticket with the PLUS option you could do regular parks Monday to Friday and then waterparks on the weekends OR you could visit say MK on Monday in the afternoon following a visit to Typhoon Lagoon, Tues do Epcot all day, Wednesday do the morning at HS then the afternoon playing minigolf and return to HS in the evening for Fantasmic, Thursday do AK with an afternoon break at Blizzard Beach, Friday do MK all day and still do TL on Saturday and BB on Sunday.

Here's the info directly from the Disney site: (Bolding mine)

Plus, you get a certain number of visits to other Walt Disney World fun based on the length of your ticket. For example, a 4-day ticket allows 4 visits and a 5-day ticket allows 5 visits. For each visit, you can choose one of the following:

  • Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
This thrilling water park features one of the world's tallest and fastest free-falling waterslides, as well as slides and rides for the whole family.

  • Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
From fast waterslides to a children's area with pint-sized raft rides, this water park has attractions for everyone. Catch 6-foot waves or float on an inner tube down a lazy river.

  • ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
Discover world-class venues where sports dreams can come true for athletes of all ages.

  • Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course
Enjoy a 2,913 yard, par 36, 9-hole walking course with fun for everyone, from developing golfers to experienced players. Greens fees only.

  • Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course
Play one round of miniature golf (prior to 4:00 PM) at a fun course inspired by the Disney classic film Fantasia.

  • Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course
Treat yourself to one round of miniature golf (prior to 4:00 PM) at either of 2 Santa Claus-themed courses.

Thanks - it was the timing that had me concerned because of their “based on the length of your ticket” phrase. I understand that if I get a five day ticket I get five visits to a water park etc. But it makes a big difference if those visits have to happen within those 5 days.

It sounds like the 5 base days are counted separately from any “plus” activity days, which is great. We are not park Commandos so we definitely won’t be doing half days anywhere. We usually get the annual passes, but with DS finally old enough for the water parks these Hopper plus tickets look like a great option, especially with the Canadian resident prices.

It specifically states you have 14 days from first use on the site (same as the old ticket rules) I apparently misunderstood your question and didn't copy that part.

ETA Here's that part copied from their site:

Canadian resident tickets expire 14 days after first use or by September 27, 2019, whichever comes first; they are not valid for admission on any of the following blockout dates: December 24, 2018 - January 1, 2019.

Yes, you will get 5 days of theme park admissions and you will also get 5 admissions to the water parks or mini putt to be used within a 14 day period.

... based on the length of your ticket ...
Current U.S. standard tickets may have fewer than 14 days of usage, for example a 5 day ticket with water park fun allows 9 consecutive days to use up 5 theme park days and 5 water park visits.

U.S. 5 day tickets without water park fun allow 8 consecutive days to choose from for your park visits. This together with the preceding implies that entering a water park (with a plus ticket) does not at that moment click off a theme park day and is not denied if all the theme park days had been used.

From where are you getting this information?

I was wondering that too since this is what it says on the website for the Canadian Deal tickets:

Multi-day tickets (unless upgraded to a Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus option) are valid for admission to one theme park per day.Tickets must be purchased between August 29, 2018 and March 15, 2019. Tickets and any options purchased expire 14 days after first use or on September 27, 2019, whichever occurs first.

I believe that the poster is only talking about the NEW standard Tickets which doesn't directly affect the Canadian Resident Tickets at issue in this thread.
