Water Park on Memorial Day Weekend?

We have a trip booked from May 20th through May 27th. This will be our 6th time at Disney, but our first time having a water park day. My initial thought was to get the bulk of our theme park time in prior to Memorial Day weekend and do Typhoon Lagoon on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. How does that sound? I understand the water park will likely be busy that day, but my thinking is that it will still be better than most of the theme parks that day. Just curious on what others think.

We did a water park on Friday of Memorial Day weekend last year. It was not busy at all. We went to Blizzard Beach, it was the first day of the Frozen Summer Fun event, with M&G with Olaf and Kristoff. We met Kristoff with no wait at all. We've done Memorial Day for the past 3 years and the parks over all are nowhere near as crowded as folks seem to think they are.

It was a rare day in FL where there was not a cloud in the sky and zero rain all day, no humidity either.
