Water Park more and fun

I have a question about the use of the water park and fun option. We are planning on arriving on Disney property early morning roughly between 9-10. We are staying at Pop Century for 7 nights and we have 7 day tickets with park hopper and water park fun. On our first day we were originally going to just relax a little and maybe go resort hopping to scope out for our next Disney vacation. The question is if we decided to go to a water park on our arrival day and no other park, would it count as one of the 7 days for our park tickets. I read on a different blog about Disney that it would not count. Our schedule right now has us using our 7th day at HS on our check out day. Any help on this would be great. I hope I didn't confuse anyone with the question.

Your tickets include 7 days of major park (MK, Epcot, HS, and AK) entry and 7 entries into water parks, so no. It would count against your 7 WP entries and not any of the 7 days.

Yeah, as mentioned, it sounds like you probably have more park days than you may need unless you want to hit a park and a water park every day.

We will be at Pop Century from 6/28 - 7/9. We have a 6 day park hopper and water park ticket giving us 12 days of use. We use about 1 a day.
