Water Park Lazy River "Tube Technique"

My technique is of no significance. I like water parks where there is an orderly line to enter the lazy river. If it’s not crowded the employees let you go around again.

I’ve been to waterparks where there are several entrances to the lazy river and it’s a free-for-all with people competing aggressively for tubes. (Six Flags in New Jersey).

I’m an over the shoulder with the feet dangling guy. If I had to sit in/on a tube I’d skip the lazy river. That is super uncomfortable for me.

The last couple times I tried to get on top of the tube, I couldn't, (it was pretty ridiculous looking, and I sure hope nobody was vlogging/filming that, ha,) so I ended up just going in from underneath, and walking/floating.
Sometimes I used to do that just to be close to the kids' tubes, in case they had issues.
I haven't been in a lazy river in a while, and really want to try that rapids one at Volcano Bay, that looks super fun!

Always sitting in it. Lazy rivers are for relaxing.

My favorite was the one at Aulani because you could do the tube slide and then continue into the lazy river without getting off of your tube. It was a nice 2 for 1.

That was so fun, except when the lazy river got too lazy that the only flow it got was people swimming by... LOL

Not a lazy river story but a real river and real tubes. I was floating down about a mile of the Shenandoah river and decided to try the through the tube method. I raised my arms above my head and poked through. The tube got hung up on my rather generous bosom. But, because the thickness of the tube, my arms got stuck straight out at a 90 degree angle from my body,. I could not bend them enough to get the tube back over my head. I had to float down the river stuck in the tube, with my thighs and knees backing against the rocky riverbed until I could catch up with friends. After much laughter and well deserved ribbing, they rescued me.

To answer you question - I sit on top of the tube now.

Both, but usually through the tube but not walking. I like to be more submerged than sitting on top of the tube. And it's more comfortable that way.
