Water park dining questions

By my plans, we will be at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon one day each for lunch. Which CS is best? Any particular recommendations?
Also when I looked at the menus it looks like you can get an ice cream for dessert, do you have to get it when you get your food or can you come back for it later? The kids meals don't look like they come with an ice cream -- is that an option? I don't think the kids are going to love eating a fruit cup while I munch on Mickey ears!

LOL. remember Pkm, the water parks are not going to be known for great dining. Blizzard beach has lottawatta Lodge. It sells standard fare. a double burger, pepepornia pizza, some type of chicken wrap and maybe a salad.
They did have other shaks around the park that sold pretzels, funnel cake and ice cream treats.
I forgot what typhoon lagoons qs was called but the menu is pretty much the same.

Last year at Blizzard Beach we ate at Lottawatta Lodge and at Typhoon Lagoon we ate at Typhoon Tilly's. Food was typical CS on par with the other parks and both of them let us go back for the ice cream dessert provided we gave them the receipt.

I'll be there next week. Doing the happy dance!!:banana::banana:

Oh and PS if I recall correctly my DS 8 did get an ice cream with his meal.

Thanks for the info. I'll be really glad if the kids can have their own ice cream, not just the choc. chip cookie as listed on allears.
Enjoy Disney next week! Three weeks for me, can hardly wait!

I have been to Typhoon Lagoon a couple times and at different times of the year. The first times we were there during the summer and we had great couter service at Typhoon Tilly's...fish and chips and yummy grilled cheese pretzel kids meal that comes in a bucket with a shovel to play in the sand.
BUT, when we went in the fall months, it wasn't open. They had one little side counter with premade chicken wraps and hot dogs...ICK! They were terrible and there was pretty much no other option. I gave most of mine to a very large happy bird who sat next to me staring at me like a puppy the entire time that I ate.
So, if you are going in the fall, don't count on the menus from the boards cause they have limited things opened. The mini donuts are yum though.
