Water Park APs good for AP hotel discount?

It is only the park hopper APs or are the water park APs okay, too? We've never been to either of those. I was actually thinking of doing an August trip (ds's birthday) which would be a good time to try them out. Since it maybe only a quick trip, we might just spend 3 or 4 days at the waterparks. Could we use our APs for the AP hotel rates?? unlikely, I'm thinking...but I can still hope, right?

Only the park annual pass.

I did not know you could purchase an annual pass just to the water parks.

There is a premium annual pass that includes the parks and the water parks, and Yes the Premium Annual Pass will qualify for any discounts.

Yes, on the Disney website for WDW under annual passes there are the two versions of theme park passes (regular and premium) and then the water park passes. The water park passes are about 80 for adults/ 70 for kids (if my memory serves correct--that is approximate). It was actually a little cheaper to buy the regular annual pass plus water park pass than the premium annual pass w/ includes other stuff besides the water parks.

Hope there are some good codes out then... I really want to find some way to do RPC
