Water Park and Mini-golf

We have the Water Parks and more fun hopper tickets, so we are planning one day out of the theme parks to do Blizzard Beach, mini-golf, then a low-key dinner/evening at Disney Springs (no ADR, probably Earl of Sandwich).

My original plan was to do BB in the morning, go back to the hotel for a break/get cleaned up, then since we are staying at the Boardwalk, walk over to Fantasia Gardens, then go to DS for dinner.

I'm starting to reconsider this plan for a couple of reasons...first, I've read some reviews that Fantasia gardens is slightly harder/less kid-friendly than Winter Summerland. Second, I believe the mini-golf voucher with the ticket package must be used before 4:00 PM, so we'd have to be back out of the hotel around 3:15/3:30 (?) to get there before it times-out. That feels like a scheduling stress on a day that's supposed to be relatively low-key.

So what I'm thinking now is when we head over to BB in the morning, actually do mini-golf first at Winter Summerland, then go into the water park when we finish playing. Then whenever we go back to the hotel to rest and clean up, there's no time pressure to get out of the room for dinner. Does this make sense?

Also, I have reserved a Polar Patio at BB, so I'm not concerned about getting space even if we walk into BB between 11-12. Since I have the cabana reserved for the day, do you think I could run in when we get over there, drop off our beach stuff in the Patio, and then go play golf without having to drag stuff around (2 little kids, there's always stuff)?

When are you going? If it's in the summer the water parks are a great thing to do from 2-5. Theme park 9-1, water park, then back to theme park. Always have swimsuits, towels, sunscreen in your car. The first time we went in June with water park option we ended up using all of the water park days and even had a theme park day unused. It was just really hot!

But yeah, your plan sounds good :)

Umm...as long as it isn't raining at that time, like it very frequently is in summer in Orlando. On our trip last July, afternoon thunderstorms were a daily occurence. If you really want to visit a water park (or any outdoor attraction) in the summer, I wouldn't set afternoon as my only time to visit.

We'll be there next month, 2nd week of May. If we do mini-golf first thing when it opens at 10, we should be in the water park before noon.
