Water Park Advice

We go June 5 for a week. Trying to fit everything in and was wondering if it is possible to hit the water parks in the afternoon, say about 2. I have heard they get busy early, but start to clear out in the afternoon. Have also heard that if you do decide to go early that you have to get there when they open or the crowds can be unbearable.

Any other waterpark advice is appreciated.

Hi Traciedee,

If you go to TL or BB in the afternoon in the summer, you are risking having a very short day there (or none at all) due to frequent afternoon thunderstorms. TL and BB will close if there are thunderstorms in the area.

We have had a lot of success going when the water parks open, doing all the slides over and over until the lines get too long, then just relaxing by the wave pool in TL or on the floating tube, or just in a beach chair!

We're going in March, but again in July, and really plan on hitting the water parks for this upcoming summer trip. We've heard the same things about the parks getting crowded early ... and also heard that the water parks can be REALLY crowded on weekends due to locals. So, we're planning early days during the week ... and hanging out like mentioned above!!

The afternoon is a good time to go but like what was said above thunderstorms can be a problem. The crowds are not bad once it hits like 1 or 2. If you do go in the morning you do have to get to the park at open or you might not get in. They close the park at a certain capacity.

It's hard to know how to time all the parks and just when I think I have things figured out and when to go where......
Think it would be better to do the water parks in the AM and hit the theme parks in the afternoon and evenings? But then of course the theme parks are always busy in the afternoons right? How bout the evenings?
