water package

I thought that I remembered having people on the first day offering a "special" for a pack of water. Was it really a special price, or just the standard price?

Funny how we get used to the taste of our water at home, or the concocted bottled waters like Dasani.

The water on the ships is probably the purist you will ever drink. People just aren't used to what water is supposed to taste like!

Well, for one, I'll probably never get any actual photos of a Remy meal (it's too pricey, and we're not foodies). I've got some pictures of an empty Remy (during ship's tour), but that's all.

I could see where that might be useful for you. It's probably the second most common question around these parts (will I like Remy? I am not a foodie).

Well, we appreciate the vast stores of photos you DO have (and knowledge). Some day you will have to tell me how you keep them organized! (Maybe I can apply it to my absurd amount of unorganized Disney vacation photos... I KNOW I have a picture of the Grand Floridian DVC Fountain here somewhere..... I was there sometime in the past 2 years LOL).

Princess Shmoo, thank you for the picture of the "special" price for the water. Yikes! Guess I'll get used to the desalinated water.

Do you remember how much it cost & how much bottled water you got for that price?

It is expensive, I think I paid fifty dollars for 24 bottles on the Magic this summer during a cruise out of Barcelona.

On every cruise except the last, bar staff have come through Cabanas selling water packages, which we’ve ordered. On the Magic out of NY to Bermuda, nobody came through Cabanas that I could see, but they did have water ordering stations set up on Deck 9 near the the FunnelVision QS locations.

On the Fantasy, we wanted sparkling and they let us order a case of anything the bar served, so we ordered Perrier.

Nothing’s wrong with the ship’s water, but I like better bottled water for convenience and taste. I will also just fill my thermos with water from the drink station.

I was told the carry on policy was because they don’t want glass to break and leak from one piece of luggage to another.

Houston was January 2017 and PC was August 2018. We had read that it may or may not get through - but both times it did. Maybe because it was still in the plastic shrink wrap and was contained...?

If it got through count yourself lucky. Also count all the other passengers lucky because you could’ve ruined other people’s luggage. Unless it is out of completely air tight shrink wrap with some sort of material to prevent puncturing, it can leak.

Agreed. Most of the bottled water you buy in the store is just municipal tap water. The water on the cruise ships is much higher quality and contains no additives, chemicals, contaminants, or other deleterious substances. I would rather drink the water on the ship versus some bottle water that came from the Flint Michigan municipal water plant.
