Water Mice

Which resorts have the Water Mice? Any of the moderates?

All the moderates rent water mice, but the area to use them is much smaller than the Lagoon. IMHO, I'd go to a deluxe and rent there. We did at Poly. I don't believe you need to rent them at the resort you are staying at necessarily. Any MK resort would be fun, since you have all of the Lagoon and Bay Lake to boat in. More "bang for your buck".

I second that DH & DS get them every time we go to DW and they think the best spots are found on Bay Lake and the 7 Seas Lagoon. (I hope that is correct) They like to rent them from the Poly but this fall they are going to try the Contemporary becuse one of DS's friends said they have faster one at the Cont. Doubtful but hey its vacation so we are letting him make the call on where to rent the boat from.

The previous posters are exactly correct!! A couple of years ago, we had breakfast at the WL and then rented water mice. We had access to both lakes and lots of space to cover. We rented for an hour and we had so much fun!! Last summer, DD and I were at the CRB and rented one there for 30 minutes - more than enough time. The lake there is tiny in comparison. DD was thrilled, but I was disappointed because I knew how much better it was on our previous visit.

We rented them for the first time in 98 when we were staying at the Poly. We had so much fun! We rented them for 30 minutes and felt like we needed an hour to really enjoy them. When we went back in 99 we made the mistake of renting them over at the YC/BC and a half hour was too much time. The whole thing is a no wake zone and the boats were slow as well. We had to spend the same amount twice to get our fix by going back to the Poly again and renting there. Then in 2000 while my son was doing the pirate cruise, we went and got them for an hour over at the Poly again! We followed the pirate cruise and got to see how much fun he was having, plus we had a great time on our own! The boats are best over there at the MK resorts. Next trip we will either get them at the WL, or Poly again, for an hour, well worth every penny!!

We would like to rent the water mice as well. Do you know if this is only open to on-site guests or can non-guests rent these as well?
