Have any of you ever done this? I'm debating about it having the water I want delivered to my hotel or not. When ordering through Costco, how many days prior to my arrival should I order? Or should I use somebody else other than Costco??

We've been hearing good reports about the Green Grocer. :goodvibes We spoke with them last week and they'll deliver to your resort, you don't have to be there to accept delivery and I think the delivery charge was only $12.00 (don't quote me on that). The front desk at the resort will hold your packages for you until you arrive and your room is ready. :thumbsup2

I found that ordering through Costco online - 1 case of Arrowhead (well, i guess it's FL it's branded as Zephyrillis) - including delivery is like less than $8 - if I can find someone to beat that, I'm sold!

I discovered from the boards here that Costco will ship only the local Florida brand (which I don't care for). Someone recommended using staples.com and they were great! I ordered the Nestle Purified water it came to $21 w/shipping. I ordered it exactly one week from when we were to check it and it was there several days before we got there.

Another reason I ordered the purified water, at the time my son was on formula. My doctor said when traveling, use only purified water since minerals in spring water can vary and might upset his stomach.

I plan to order from staples again this June!

Does anyone have the number for gardengrocer.com? Someone said they would deliver alcohol but they need proof of age faxed to them. I can not find anything about it on line so I need to call them.

btw, if you order from Staples, you might want to consider going through a Portal (i.e., Delta.com) to gain frequent flyer points in addition. Not all airlines' frequent flyer programs link with all retailers but it's worth a look at your favorite airline's web site to see if they have a portal to get miles for your purchase at Staples! Here's a link to Delta's http://skymilesshopping.com/go.aspx. Customers are currently earning 3miles for every $2 they spend. And, don't discount that you'd only earn a few miles with a purchase of water as every purchase also counts toward maintaining your status as an active member so if it's been awhile since you've last flown on your airline of choice, this is another way to keep your miles from expiring!

make sure you order out more than it says for delivery time.

I ordered through Costco (great price!) but the delivery took longer than stated when I originally ordered. I was used to using Staples which came by delivery truck the next day. However, Costco was actually sent through a shipper -- UPS, I think.

I recall the total delivery time was like 5 business days from order (not including over the weekend). So I would be sure to order at least 1 week to 10 days out from arrival. Of course, you don't want to order too early to have it sitting around the resort and possibly be misplaced.

Good luck!

I'll call at the end of the week after I get my kids list too! Thanks!!

Staples.com worked great for me last week - got a case for ~$7 - free delivery, was in our room when we got back from MK on our first night

I have also used Staples.com and its free if you sign up for their Rewards card (its free) and you get free delivery on anything you order from them. HTH :cool1:

This used to be the case with Staples. When I used them in 2006, we had free delivery using the Rewards card.

But they discountinued that feature 2007.

Now, you must spend at least $50 for "free" delivery.
I did see, however, if you are a teacher in the teacher rewards program, you can get free delivery.

Hope that helps.
