Are there any places that Canadians can order water for delivery to the resort just prior to arrival?

I have read threads that some people order water from Staples and have it delivered to the resort rather than to their homes and it is there on arrival. I did look into it but Staples will only accept a U.S. registration address. I am aware of Garden Grocer but not sure if only water makes it cost effective. Any suggestions?

Kate, I looked into wegoshop (or something like that) last year and it also was not cost effective. Can you not use your resort address with Staples?
I'm packing one suitcase with bottles of water and checking it. The other option I've considered is to get a rolling cooler (Costco has these for about $30), fill that with botltles and check, then you can use the cooler in the room.

I've seen posts saying the Florida tap water taste bad or funny. Can anyone give me a comparison to how it tastes to Ontario tap water?

:cool1:

I've only tasted Clearwater water and it was through a brita and it was just okay. Were flying for the first time in March and we are taking a taxi after arriving at POR to the Super Walmart in Kissimee on Irlo Bronson and buying our groceries there. I've been there several times and the prices are so reasonable and they have cases of bottle water like up here. I can't be bothered to take water on the plane with me.

We tried it last year and from then on our kids called it the "yucky water".

We're taking the ME so no grocery stop (darn it) but then again I won't have to handle the bag of water either. I'm wondering if I can just check a case of water instead of bagging it. Anyone do that?

It has a very strong sulfuric smell to it. I'm a city girl so I guess one way to compare it to Toronto water would in the summer when the water sometimes has a high algae count and has a rotten egg smell to it... but the Florida/Orlando water is much worse than that. There are days that I've found the water to be passable but not very often.

You can't just check a case of water. Everything must be packaged for cargo. You would need to, at the very least, put it in a box and tape it up.

Wouldn't it be easier just to pay the 10 dollars from Garden Grocer and have them deliver it to the resort. Sounds like a whole lot of hassle to take with!

you are both probably right, I was thinking then I'd have an empty suitcase for souvies. Plus I hate paying that type of fee. Will have to do the math as we won't be using our snack credits this time on water, with the new snack options it makes it better to use them on breakfast items.
thx

Why not buy yourself a couple of Brita Water Bottles off of Ebay, you can use those in the parks just filling up wherever you want (fountains, bathroom etc)

Then buy a big bottle of water out of the shop at your resort for in your room. Is it really worth all the bother to save yourself a little money to bring it with you?

Yes it is, for us. We only drink reverse osmosis water and can't stand Brita  water. Dasani (our preferred brand) is $2/bottle at Disney. With 4 people drinking 2-3 bottles each per day (sometimes 4) it adds up fast. Checking a bag full of water takes me almost zero effort and ME gets it to my room. Thanks for the suggestion, it just won't work for us though.
FYI to anyone wondering, I also found that costco and office depot will ship water to the resort, but haven't looked into it much. there's a lot on the budget boards about this though.
