I hear there is now a $10 charge to have a case of water delivered to both BC & AKL. Do you think there is a charge at BCV & AKV too? I would think they would, but a girl can hope!:hippie:

I did hear that the charge at BC isn't for every vender who delivers, so I was hoping someone here knew about this so I can order from somewhere that does not charge. Thanks!

AKL/AKV does not have a convention center, and does not have a contracted shipping desk, so I'm not sure the charge applies there.

BCV, BWV, BLT all have convention facilites, and have contracted out their shipping/ receiving centers. Any deliveries from "business" type companies, like Staples, CostCo, or Office Depot, along with UPS, FedEx, Postal Service and other commercial delivery companies will be accessed an additional charge.

Items delivered by Garden Grocer or Owners Locker are handled by Bell Services, so you'll need to tip, but are not charged the additional fee.

As far as I know, there are, so far, no fees added for deliveries to non-Convention center resorts, but they do charge to send a package out, even if it is pre-paid.

I always order water through costco.com (if you aren't a member there is a 5% surcharge added). Price is under $7 and includes shipping.

Yes, we were planning on doing this too, but WDW just started charging a $10 fee to receive this. Someone mentioned said that the Hess gas station across the street from DTD has a 12 bottle case, less than $4.00. So since our first evening was going to be at DTD making yummy pretzals at Goofy's, we will pick our water up from there.

I thought so too, but someone who just came back from AKL said they were charged....................

I'm sorry to hear this -- but not surprised. At this point it looks like Disney is looking at how to squeeze more money out of their guests from every angle. IMO, it's amazing they've allowed those heavy cases of water to be received at no charge for as long as they have. Too bad for us though!
