Water bottles

I have always used a refillable both at the resort and in the parks. In fact I have a 64 oz Nalgene bottle that I fill at the QS/Foodcourt and I keep it in my room fridge. It’s light weight and I just pack it in my suitcase. That way I have it available not only to drink but to make coffee.

For the parks I carry a kid size hydro flask. I start the day with it filled and go by quick service locations through out the day.

A tip is don’t wait till you need water to find water. Anytime I pass a QS without a line I grab water. I top off my bottle often. This way when it is busy I can wait and don’t have to wait in a line just for a drink.

Also I carry electrolyte drink enhancers. I add half to a whole serving. When it’s sweaty out replacing those will help keep you hydrated. I usually do at least one whole packet a day or if it’s super hot I alternate power/gatorade to plain water all day. You can find all kinds of dry packet adding, from Liquid IV to GatoradeZero to ones made with natural sweeteners like Stevia.

I don’t generally use the fountains. I don’t live the taste and I’ve yet to find any water flavor packs that can hide the sulfur taste for me, plus they are usually warm which makes it worse.

Also I generally dislike water fountains. I was a teacher. Seeing kids drink from fountains pretty much put me off of them for life 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Use whatever you use at home. We ended up mostly using Gatorade bottles we got at at a sporting goods store. We filled them completely with ice when we went to the parks in the morning then would refill them while we were there. You can also bring Gatorade powder to put in the bottles if that will entice your children to drink more. Camelback and Yeti sell insulated water bottles that work well at keeping things cold but they’re heavy!

Been using and recommending these Brita water bottles for years. I could never understand why people would buy cases of water, not use it all then leave the leftovers. Oh well, not my call.
Haven't bought any of these for years but they used to be $9 at Walmart, came in several different colors (each of us had our own color for ownership purposes) and came with two filters. They are soft so you can squeeze them into the baby bottle. They do cut the sulfur taste you get from some Florida water sources. (It isn't all Florida water, just in certain locations. Magic Kingdom is nasty but the water at Fort Wilderness I drink right out of the tap).

They no longer make that bottle! I started hoarding them when I saw them on clearance at Walmart and got nervous since I'd been buying them for almost twenty years.

Recently I discovered the Philips Water bottle which is similar (search Philips Water GoZero) 51GcsYyrW-L._AC_SL1080_.jpg

I have not tried the Philips yet though.

Does look similar so I'd give it a try. I still have 3 or 4 of the old type and filters.

I read the other day on one of the blogs (can't remember which one) that they've started charging for Venti ice water at Starbucks at MK but you can still get it free at the Starbucks at the other parks.
You can still get a cup of water there for free, but not the venti size. From what I have seen, it's the same size you get at other QS locations.

Awesome. Thanks all. Ultimately decided to get 3 filter bottles for the 6 of us to share. Probably could have done 2 but 3 may be more helpful in the room overnight and result in a few less refills. Hopefully they will prove helpful out and about in general and save us a bit of money.

Seriously? I feel like if you are brave enough to wait in that long line they should give you free water😏
The mainstreet bakery will give free water in a small Disney parks water cup it’s just the venti Starbucks cups they are charging for….

Though keep in mind indoor QS locations might not let you in just to get a free water during busier times as I’ve personally been turned away from satuli at DAK and cosmic rays in MK for not having a mobile order and just wanting to go in for water

Not sure if it’s still an option, but I think the resorts sell cases of water. Per ounce, it was way cheaper and gives you some non yucky Florida water. You could also consider getting some stuff delivered to the resort, including cases of water. I’m definitely one in of those folks that can’t drink FL water!
