I've seen a lot of different options for keeping hydrated in the parks. What do you recommend? Bringing our own water bottles that we can refill, ordering bottled water from garden grocer and bringing those in, or getting cups of water from CS? If we bring our own water bottle in I worry about leaving it on the stroller while we are on rides.

I bought everyone in our family thermos brand water bottles. Fill it with ice and bring bottled water into the park. No need to freeze water bottles, because the ice lasts all day. We use these bottles everyday at school and in our vehicles. We love them for the parks.

I've done all those choices at various times. It was easier to order the bottled water and carry a couple bottles in per person when we had the stroller. I would fill a small softsided cooler with ice so the water would stay cold. Now that we tour without a stroller, I've chucked that idea.

I prefer to carry a refillable bottle around and fill it with the free ice water from the CS locations. When touring in the late spring or summer heat, you need to be drinking water frequently. I want water that I can carry with me to drink while waiting in line. The paper cups are too flimsy for that. I have the refillable Brita water bottles. We fill them with ice and a little water in the morning. The ice melts pretty quickly. Then we refill as needed with the free cups of ice water. Whenever we stop for a meal, I make sure to ask for extra cups of water and make sure our bottles are completely full before leaving the restaurant.

ETA: While anything is possible, I really wouldn't worry about leaving refillable water bottles in your stroller.

I bought a couple of bottles with built-in filters to the sipper top. However, it wasn't that hot this February and we ended up drinking very little. We will be taking them again next year, though, as it should be a bit hotter in March. But tbh we took bottles as our free drink on the dining plan and they more or less did us in between times.

Thanks for the advice. This is our first trip w/ DD 3 and 5 and there is just so much to consider. I feel like i am splitting hairs debating this but I don't want to pack and lug something around the parks that we don't need. It sounds like a good refillable water bottle is a necessity!

My preference is a Nalgene bottle and a big stroller hook/carabiner. That way we can quickly clip it on and off the stroller, so it doesn't get lost and is easy to access. You can refill it anywhere easily. I wouldn't worry about leaving it with the stroller. Even if someone decided to steal it, its $10. No one has ever messed with ours.

When we originally planned our trip we were going with friends. I ordered reusable Disney themed bottles on clearance for all of the kids, and now my friend and her family aren't going so I have EIGHT reusable bottles with carry straps for my TWO kids. :-b Anyway, we'll be taking those and some crystal lite packets because I've heard the tap water there tastes funny (don't know if it's true, but I want to make sure my kids are drinking so whatever makes that happen). We're driving so we'll also pick up a case of water and bring in bottles. We're planning to bring a sit n stand stroller SOME of the time (maybe after afternoon rests) but my kids are big enough to walk (6 and 3) so for the times that we don't have the stroller with us we'll just be bringing the reusable bottles.

The tap water does taste funny, at least to me it does. That's one of the reasons I use the Brita water bottles. It helps with the taste a bit. The water you get from the CS restaurants is filtered. I think it tastes okay (not great), but some people still don't like the taste enough that they won't drink it.

We brought reusable water bottles for everyone and also brought some of the single serving crystal lite or other powder drink mixes for those who wanted them. We had 3 adults and 3 kids ages 5, 3, and 1. We brought two for each person, so they had a clean one for the next day and one in the dishwasher. We get everything ready to go the night before. It worked well for us.

For the kids, my cousin got inexpensive water bottles and decorated them with their names and Disney stickers. They loved them.

Us too! Except last August just our kids had their banged up double insulated thermos containers-24 oz ones or whatever that size is. Dh had our bike bottles which were plastic double insulated.

What a difference. Our water stayed cold for a few hours but my kids, when I went to refill them in the evening...still had ice!

We are out if stroller age so each kid had to carry their own in their small bag. My dh would carry our 7 yo In the back pack he had as well as extra water bottles.

We did not use the tap water and were able to ship water to us.

When we went the previous trips we had a stroller and a much larger thermos but I didn't drink much since we used tap water.

We saved so much money by not buying soda with every meal...we don't so the dining plan.

We do the same...
We add flavored hydration powder to bottled water and lots of ice.
Last trip we didn't buy a single soda in the parks. :)
